@raistlin295 when it is just some few feet away whilst recording , the microphone picks up every breath...anyway sorry to disappoint you...mind you it would have given a different meaning to screaming past
i saw a photo lately, of a Nimrod parked on a ramp with a bunch of P-3s, parked alongside, and for a 40 year old aircraft, it looked like something off Star Wars compared to them! British post war engineering at its best
The de Havilland Comet old aircraft futuristic design The Hawker Siddeley Nimrod, the military derivative of the Comet airliner was always going to be a winner.
I thought the passes could have been lower, but I suppose there has to be a safe fly zone. It makes you wonder what the full possibilities of this aircraft are.
@andymorl Yes one year ago (before) they were destroyed I said the MRA4's would operate for many years to come (true at the time of the comment) that was before this senseless decision to remove them by this stupid government and replace them with old ex USAF junk, to which I agree with you.
@tonightwefly lol ok i was just having a joke. :P but you were wrong. ha ha government cuts cutting something we still need, millions spent already just to be replaced by something similar and no better equipped. where is the logic
Its hard to believe that this aircraft has been going so long, but if it meets the required standard then why change. It certainly is an distinctive aircraft.
Nice video. Shame about the dreadful noise until the last 20 seconds.

@raistlin295 It was the lesser of two evils....a screaming child or awful music...

Awesome last 20 secs , the Rod at full RPM screaming and making noise like all British aircraft can. I will be sad to say goodbye
