@daphnepearl1 I'm British and a non-Jew, and I was also born several months after Israel was established. I can't respond like a Jew, but I still do all in my power to support and defend Israel, and the significance of this little film is not lost on me by any means. The creation of Israel should not be seen simply as a triumph for the Jews, but as something of great significance for the whole of mankind. For Jews it was the greatest event in 2000 years. Am Yisrael chai.

A great piece of history well documented. That video is worth it's weight in gold. Like the Holocaust, people have short memories and some actually deny it ever happened. Likewise Israel's legitimate birth is something that we need to keep as a memorial.
