Make sure your sector 9 has wheel sizes relative to the size of the board. Mine is too short for 75 mm wheels and I can only slide 35 % if the wheels were thinner and smaller I'd have less friction. If the board was longer I'd have more leverage.

do no hate on sector 9. best boards for the money. i would even say better than loaded. the derv is a nice board, but for the money you can do better. the dervish is $180, and an equivalent board like a bc eel($120), a landyachtz drop carve ($135) or an arbor bamboo axis($100) and they are better than a derv.

@YourMasterRadou my brother has a trylam from 5 years ago, and its pretty beat, but it hasn't delam'd snapped, or anything, its perfectly ridable. just a little less snappy. i would also recomend BC longboards. i have the eel and im really satisfied with it. nice noses for shuv its and manuals, flexy and its only $120

one thing I love about your technique in this vid is that you guys just get down on the board and get straight into the pendulums and colemans etc. A lot of my friends can get into a proper drop knee stance and pull off their slides but I was never flexible enough to do so. I'll try and emulate what I see here, it's really encouraging.

hey abec 11 or gumballs are good also orengetang wheels are good also for carving and sliding, and you can buy sliding gloves from loaded boards, or make sliding gloves

Its best when you have harder wheels, softer ones get ripped to shreads. Its more of a comitment thing first you gotta not be scared to go fast.. at first i was like 'woaahh' trying to slide at speed. Now i can do it pretty easly. (: i live in england :'(

They use Plastic and other stuff like that.

They use really hard plastic and some of the wheels use that hard plastic as cores to harden wheels and protects the bearing just showing how hard the plastic really is.

sector nine is amazing. If u want better wheels, GUM BALLS all the way. Sickest wheels, u can prob get some from eBay for about, $45-$60 but most are like $50-$53. but dude, S9 is the best. I don't have one (i have a custom from my buddy paul. custom everything. Now, i take back buddy. HE MADE ME PAY $200!) But i know lotsa ppl with S9 and they say it is awesome

Well, you should just go to your local bike/skateboard store and ask them. Just stay away from sector9 if your into sliding. They make some good boards. But there good boards are harder to find. I can slide on a high flex board with crappy wheels but its not as easy as on my Hairpin with Orangatangs.

I lived in makawao in 92-94 when they were pving through polipoli. it was butter smooth, but we used to rock regular boards, hit grass slides on the side of the road to scrub speed, and set up jumps and stuff like a slalom course..kept us out of trubble and we had fun..hawaiian style

Stock sector nine wheels(never good for sliding)and the green ones are abec 11 70mm 81a duros.I am currently using gravity wheels super sliders 72mm 95a duros... the higher the durometer the better.
