The thing I love about this song, is that the lyrics are so morbid and depressing, but it's such an uplifting. You simply cannot sing it without a smile on your face.
it's most deffinately not a violine. i'm pretty sure it's a viola. it has that deep, dark, rich sound like a viola does. plus, he has to shift into 3rd maybe even 5th position to get those high notes. :) lol, sorry, i'm a really big orchestra dork (i'm a violinist).
