Report: Greece failing migrant children

ATHENS, Greece, Dec 22, 2008 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Migrant children living alone in Greece are abused by police and their plight is ignored by the government, human rights investigators said Monday.

The children, often from war-torn countries including Afghanistan, Somalia and Iraq, risk torture, such as mock executions, and inhuman or degrading treatment, including routine kickings and beatings, Human Rights Watch said in a report.
