Wow, I was at this gig. I remember Stereolab arriving incredibly late and whilst people were waiting, PJ Harvey was walking around the shop inviting people to her gig that night at the Bull & Gate.
i was stereolab stalker back then! me and my mates went to all the early london gigs - still own the first 10+ singles. martin the kiwi bass player (albeit v briefly) was such a nice guy..
This must be one the earliest footage of Stereolab, They were formed barely a year ago at that time. I think they just released their first single and EP. Great performance despite shooting angle and low volume on vocals.

wait, if this was recorded in 1991, why is Mary Hansen the lead vocal? I thought she didn't appear unti '92?

Lead vocals are by Laetitia, not Mary.
