I would agree IF it were a heavy 4-wheeled vehicle.......but a motorcycle? There is absolutely NO danger there, as long as the cable is in proper condition and a snatch block is used. Even the heaviest of motorcycle only weighs in at around 900 lbs. If the extreme angle and the bed tilted were to reduce the winch and cable strength by 40%, which is a LOT, the recovery ability of that truck would STILL be over 4500 lbs. Sorry, but, that was a dumb comment.
i love this video. am also working as a tow truck driver here in philippines,@ SCTEX 94km expressway and NLEX 88KM we have the same nature of work. WE also recover and towed all kinds of vehicle. one thing i have notice on this video. Your eqipment is complete and brand new. not like here, hire me i have enough experience in towing and recovering vehicle.
1:33 is just wrong. Someone's gonna get hurt side pulling from a winch like that. A flatbed is not designed for recovery's like this one, not at that angle anyways.
AMEN!!! People should take more time to be thankful for tow trucks as well as their drivers, instead of getting bent out of shape for having to pay to get their cars out of impound because of their own doing. I think each state should have its own memorial for fallen drivers - maybe then people would realize just how important we are on the highways.
Like the utv wrecker. Def needed at the dunes on trails where no truck could ever get, or in a steep spot(think idiot holes). Love it

flatbeds can be used for recoverys all you need is a snatchblock but the way that guy is pulling he could flip the truck
