A tip for the ship:

Go into the boat untill you hear the music, than you go back (not to the land, but the end of the ship) and just wait untill the ship is at land again, and go off...

@il2swim805 Its like this: you go to ice world, signifying that the next world you go to will give you ice breath. And so, this world is earth so it should be pretty obvious you're getting earth. Besides, if the dragon was trapped in an element were it was at best, it would have the advantage and they would regain their strength.

I also cant switch from lightning to fire. how do you do that?

The d-pad is the 4 arrow shaped directional buttons at the left hand side of the ps2 controller they let you select different elements

okaayy all these guides are da bomb but one thing no one has answered, HOW DO YOU SWITCH ATTACKS? I mean I'm at that stupid airship and I keep getting owned by the big monkey things >.> I have only that puny ice thing and I don't know how to switch back to electric or fire! Please someone explain!?
