Can't believe I never heard of this show before Jay turned up on the Simpsons.

  • It is in fact the same voice actress, she can also be heard on Darkwing Duck as his daughter Gosalyn

  • The Phone gag at the beginning is classic.

  • Babar was French!?

  • YABOL!!!!!! BWAHAHAHA

  • do you have any more episodes coming???

  • by Dane Youssef

It's no little-known hush-hush secret that the inspiration for the Duke Phillips is Ted Turner. This episode is a sly little dig at Turner's "brilliant innovation" at putting some our most timeless classics in Technicolor--It's A Wonderful Life, Casablanca, Ragin Bull, Citizen Kane, even The Wizard of Oz.

Why didn't he offer to paint eyebrows on the Mona Lisa? Put a new nose on the Sphinx? Or wield the crack in the Liberty Bell?

    by Dane Youssef

  • 3:07 rofl.

  • Yavhul! I mean, can I help you?

  • LOl kool aid refrence at 3:07

  • "Last time I drank, I woke up in a petting zoo, and a goat was missing"

  • I'm pretty sure it's "missing"

implying that he ate one in his drunken madness.

    Hooray for OCD!

  • shwing

  • Pffftt! XD haha "last time I drank, I woke up in a petting zoo, and a goat was missing" hahaha

  • I have just finished watching the episode "Miserable". I recorded it on TV.

  • i love that oscer bit at the begining

  • Where did I hear the Marissa Tomei's oscar gag before? Ppl, help! :p

  • Futurama. Obviously, The Critic did it first.

  • Could you upload the episode "Miserable"?

  • I SO want the episode "Miserable" you know, in a parody of Misery? An obsessed girl tries to kill Jay?

  • i saw it on reelz movie channel on tv the other day. its a really funny episode. if i see again ill upload it.

  • Wait, there's a channel that still airs this? HOT DANG!

  • 'Lo?

    30 SECONDS LONG WHATS THAT

  • lol the voice of the son sounds exactly like the voice of chuckie from rugrats

  • It's the exact same voice actress.

  • shwing

  • it stinks!

  • What's in that wine? It made Eva Braun look so Gorgeous! Who knew she vacationed in the South of France along with Adolphy and schnitzel?

  • Quiz Time! Here is the question: What building or buildings at 00:04 was there in the 1990's but it isn't there today?

  • the twin towers.duh

  • Correct! You won free cake!

  • THE CAKE IS A LIE!

  • LOL AT THE HITLER BIT

  • when I was little, I barely knew my dad, but he did look a lot like this cartoon character so I use to imagine he would turn into a cartoon and have to be on TV and thats why he wasnt around.

  • dude seriously, im not trying to be depressing or emo, i actually have an amazing life. my dad just sucked.

  • you're rude.

  • Anything Matt Groening produces is pure gold. First there was The Simpsons, then The Critic, then Futurama... 3 of my favourite shows. I totally miss The Critic, and Futurama isn't on much anymore.

haha and them bits with Satan and Hitler were hillarious.

  • oooo

  • worldtitle21: Its also hard to get a girlfriend when you randomly lash out at someone you've never met..

  • Perhaps he meant to say James L. Brooks? Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't be rude about it, but isn't James L. Brooks in the credits of each episode?

  • ok, whatever dude had something to do with the simpsons and futurama

  • yea it does, once jay was in the simpsons and that ice skating place was in futurama

  • I remember when he was on The Simpsons, and Patty and Selma were asking him which celebrities were gay, and bart whispers to him to tell them Magiver was gay, and the next scene is him hanging by his underwear from the evestrough on the house LOL

and that ice skating scene, that's a real place in NY city. I've never been there, but I know it exists.

  • yep good simpsons times :D

  • That place is at Rockefeller center in downtown Manhattan.

  • It's a cool looking place! I hate skating (I'm probabally the only Canadian to ever say that lol), but it's awesome.

  • Matt Groening didn't work on The Critic, but James L. Brooks produced it with Gracie Films. It can be a little confusing cause Jay Sherman appeared on The Simpsons as a cameo, but Matt Groening didn't take any credit for the episode he was in cause he didn't like the idea of doing a crossover episode.

  • I always thought he did , they even got Simpsons voice actors on it. I was wrong of course but I grew up thinking that.

  • I ordered WHITE TIGERS!!! ...classic

  • Ooh! Ooh! Can the sandwhich be olive loaf?

  • Long live "The Critic"

  • winey jaques reminds me of Krusty - just as terrible.

  • i mean swing!

  • This episode is one of my favorites. It was Duketastic!

  • Opening is classic

  • keep it down you two

  • keep it down you two

  • "Oh yeah. Winey is here and he's got to sit down. Uhhhhh...." Classic.

  • Dose his son have the voice of Chuckie from the Rugrats?

  • It's Christine Cavanaugh.

  • the devil's explanation in the begining was great.

  • Rommel, you magnificent bus stop

  • -how's your room?

    -well, I cracked the bidé!

  • Hahahahahahaha!!!

Lol,I thought that was funny too. xD

  • What's a bide?

  • AHAHAH!: "I love you Spartacus"

  • "keep it down you two" @ 1:36 is classic.

  • I would say, "Merci beacoup, Monsieur 4-years-to-live!"

  • Hitler's dog looked like Scooby Doo (or Scrappy Doo).

  • "Ricky's got his gal

    and Louie is his pal

    Dey executed the spies

Stay tuned for the Local News

    and Magnum PI!"

    Lol, genius.

  • when they took it of the air it was a ducktastrafy

  • Bring it back!

  • OLIVELOAF!

  • "King of the elephants!" LOL BABY!

  • rosebud... i mean, "schwing!"

  • The bit with the Devil was hilarious...

  • yeah it was one of the greatest show. like the simpson

  • i miss the critic

  • Merci Boocoo, Mister four years to live!

  • way better then half the t.v out there

    Defeated only by The Simpsons

  • Could you say 5 programmes (mainly cartoon) that this is better than?

  • I miss this show sssoo much! I hate to say it, but I think it was better than Futurama. I'll still love Matt Groening til' the end of time.

  • Oops, I have to fix my mistake. Matt Groening didn't create this show, it was Al Jean and Mike Reiss, who were co-creators of The Simpsons. God, I have no life.

  • I have to agree with you? Futurama is like a spoilt cartoon with high tech images but this was effort! This is what you get with little money & more heart!

  • "They love you in France. It's probably that you resemble Babar: King of the elephants!" Ha!

  • I always loved how the phone call, revieved movie and what jay says at the end of the credits varies from episode to episode

  • "Aw, yea, Winey is here and he's got to sit down. Ughhh..." XD

  • thax i miss this show so much
