You can see the dust fly from the seat of her pants when the first swat lands on her shapely rear. In the movie, in the next scene he's showing up at her house to take her out. So I guess she didn't really mind the panty warming he gave her. Overall it is a cute scene. Doris & Gordon made for a VERY charismatic screen couple.
