Yo, shaky camera guy! I was cutting myself watching this, it's a painful video to watch. Please stop yr wobble-wobble. This isn't instructional, it's torturizable. Yep.
can i use FV500 to m13 as a switchable volume and expression pedal in one? and what should I use for the m13, FV500 H or L.. pls help me with the configuration. thank you.. :D
I don't know if anybody responded to this question, but the reason some people may want 2 expression pedals is that they don't want all of their effects to shift when they engage. For example, you may want more depth to a chorus but you don't want your delay to speed up or have more repeats. Have a nice day.
@MichaelKnight71 you actually dont need the fx-1 pedal for that-you would just hit the looper button and record a chord with an auto-volume echo and let that loop play and then play over that. I've got a bunch of examples of this on my vids-check them out!
Thanks man. I was trying to find a way to get rid of an external Wah pedal in my FX loop of the M13. I had a theory that this was exactly how I could replace it with the EX-1 expression pedal. My life just got even simpler. In my opinion, Line 6 has built the greatest effects unit ever. It has simplified playing out so much! Thanks again, very informative.
@scorpguitar79 hey man, does the expression pedal initially control master volume of the entire scene. then you program what the pedal does per patch?
@scorpguitar79 i dont have my m13 yet. so lets say you have 4 delays running (is that possible) can you control what happens to each activated delay simultaneously?
Hey thanks for the helpful vid! I have a spider jam amp and I'm thinking of getting a FBV shorboard and one of these expression pedals, do you know if i would be able to set effects like delay and tremolo to the expression pedal if i don't have the M13?
Im not sure about the spider jam or the fbv shortboard-I would guess that the line 6 expression pedal would work.. sorry that I couldnt be more help on that.
wow-thanks for all the nice comments and for subbing me. I always appreciate positive feedback. I have even more m13 vids planned for the future. I think that its the best piece of gear that you can get for effects!
congrats! youre gonna love the m13. I would say that the cheapo line 6 pedal does exactly what you need it to do. It's just a good thing to have anyways cause you can use it with alot of pedals that have an expression input. Thanks for watching my vid!
Strange question, but I have an idea. Can you assign different effect values to other pedal positions (halfway etc.?) besides heel down and heel up?

You can't just use any volume pedal - they don't all work with the M13 - the Ernie Ball 25K volume pedal does

Could you please tell me if an expression pedal is the same as A volume pedal. I need to buy one for my m13. thank you.

@caincolesr same thing essentially.

@scorpguitar79 Thanks.

You can always review your video and then do it over and do it so it is understandable.

What kind of cable are you using for the pedal? Just the regular trs 1/4 to trs 1/4 or trs 1/4 to ts 1/4
mrgrimm66sick 1 year ago
@mrgrimm66sick standard 1/4 instrument cable.

Is there an output on the pedal?
I just got mine line 6 pedal and it only has an input. The other slot for an output is covered with a plastic button.
Is that how yours is?
novanine9 1 year ago
@novanine9 yep-just connect the lone input to whatever you want
scorpguitar79 1 year ago
@scorpguitar79 - Thanks so much...SO...NO OUTPUT, HUH?
i returned a previous one for that reason, and the 2nd one I got back was the same thing, lol!
thanks again

does this work as well with the boss FV-50 pedal?
covelinhas 1 year ago
@covelinhas yes this will work with any pedal
scorpguitar79 1 year ago
@covelinhas Well, I don't seem to make it work!?!? I'm not sure about the settings that are needed to be made!?

A tripod would be fine in this video, really... But great video anyway, makes things clear regarding pedals. Thank you.

do you have to use the line 6 expression pedal or can you use any cheap thing?

Great video, thank you!
I am about to order the M13. What about reliability?
Why would 2 expression pedals be useful?
Cheers

hmm, so could you (and if so how) use the effects pedal and m13 to emulate a "gilmour" (sound on sound) sound effect?
(i.e. make a long delayed spacy cord and play stuff over that?)

mojoefly 2 years ago
no, it controls specifically what you set it to. You have to enable- via the menu, what you want controlled with the footswitch.

hesitantly I would say yes you can control the parameters of all 4 delays but let me check and get back to you.
