I always wear gear, for 2 reasons. First, I have a very generic looking suit (all black pants; a black, red and white jacket and a red, black, and silver helmet) so if / when I do have to run and hide it's easier to get off and blend in like you weren't the driver, and unless they can prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" that it was you on the bike = no ticket (just be as far away from the bike as possible). Secondly, I'd like to survive a wipe if I ever do going that fast.

yea the shutter speed would have to be amazingly fast. Mythbusters proved they could still read the plate at a 140mph on a car but 180 on a bike is pretty damn fast. I think your right about the shutter speed not being fast enough.
i agree to an extent! I have a buddy of mine who was riding with his friends on the expressway. They were doing 120 when they passed a cop. Cop turned on his lights. My buddy pulled over and his buddy keep going. My friend only got a warning because he pulled over. The cop called a unit ahead and got the plate number. The cops where at my buddys friends house before he was. And he got arrested when he got there!!! As long as they dont get ur plate your good!!
The frame rate on a police camera would have to be so high to catch a bike's plate passing him at 180mph that it would make the camera the most expensive piece of equipment in their cars.

Theres a reason the officer wouldnt go after him , For starters he isnt going to risk his life by going 120 mph in a car that whieghs bordering on 3500 pounds also by chasing it would cause other problem traffic at 120 wouldnt have time to react to him so its just not worth it .
