  • I like how you did not speed it like a crazy person :3

you can't learn when things are all speed up -_-

  • @evilpotatoattack

I've only sped up one of my videos and that's only because it was 3 hours long. lol I'd much rather watch people draw in actual time.

  • gosh i wish i could do this but i can not use a mouse and do it. its just to hard for me with a mouse cause i cant get it to do exactly like i want it to and i dont have a tablet yet soo :/ but this looks great :)

  • I'd like to know which model of Wacom Tablet you're using..? o:

  • @kokiou

    Intuos3 4x5

  • You make it look so easy ; o

  • How does your pen apply pressure? I try messing around with the pen settings on SAI but can't find a way to make the strokes like yours. Can you please tell me? =/

  • @pnar13

it's the regular pen at it's smallest size with min size set to 0

  • how much is the tablet exactly? I want to get one because using a laptop to do this isnt tht easy for me

  • @cheyanney4

It depends on the model and if you buy from a store or from an auction site. It's always best to use a Wacom tablet. So I'd suggest you do a little research.

  • do you use the vector pen to draw?

  • @amassasa

No, I use the regular pen.

  • :O, did u use tablet for this ? :(,

  • @OoiAnimeAddictedoO

    Yeah, I used a Wacom Intuos3 4x5 tablet.

  • YOU DON'T NEED A TABLET TO MAKE BEAUTIFUL ART. I USE MOUSE AND I CAN'T BUY A TABLET BECAUSE IT'S EXPENSIVE. BUT PRACTICE AND PRACTICE YOU WILL BECOME AN ARTIST USING JUST A MOUSE!

    Mariana Erwin

  • @89990000

Drawing with a mouse is perfectly fine. That's how most people start with digital art. I drew with one for over a year before getting my first tablet. I still don't mind to draw with one. It's just more time consuming and there is no pressure sensitivity.

  • @89990000 I agree with you... a mouse can make beautiful art

however its much easier, quicker more realistic to use a tablet... takes about a month to get used to though

  • @89990000 Yes, i want a tablet but it's too expensive! i always use mouse to make a drawing,and i think it's beautiful!!!!

  • I'm so jealous of you right now-.- I love your work! It's so amazing!:)

  • @k4katelyn0424

I have plenty of flaws in my work. I think other people might be more worthy of envy.

  • weelll . i know ill never be able to do that XD .

  • THATS AWSOME!!!! if only i had a tablet.....*daydreams*

  • Uh, one way to make such smooth movements is with this option called the stabilizer. It slows down your movements and makes lines straighter. (SAI is just awesome like that, allowing an easier time for line art.)

But I don't know what level you set it to, or if you set it to stablize at all. I'm still a beginner at computer drawing.. But keep up the good work :D

  • @RandomBore4Ever

I believe it was set to default. Now a days I have it set to 7, but I don't see any real difference.

  • did you use a tablet with this?

  • @OTTTB

    Yes.

  • tablet.... they use tablets...but its still super good...i have a tablet.... and i SUCK!

  • how do u make ur lineart so smooth????

  • @pipipop2000

I use a Wacom Intuos3 4x5 tablet. My pen setting is the smallest size with min size set to 0. I don't have any real special settings or anything. Sai is just an awesome program.

  • What you just made in six minutes would take me over an hour, and it still wouldn't be presentable.

  • @Agora2021

I think it would take well over an hour for me to make something presentable as well. lol Even then there is still a huge possibility of errors all over the place. So I don't think you should fret about it and just enjoy the drawing process. The more time you spend worrying the worse your art will look to you.

  • could u tell me ur pen settings please?:c

  • @iShurikens

Regular pen at it's smallest size with min size at 0.

  • What kind of a sign program?

  • Okay, so this is PISSING me off ALOT... HOW do you make the POINTED strokes? Mine just come out like the end of a circle. IT SUCKS

  • @Istallah

    Set min size to 0.

  • @Nicole1725 I have the same problem. Only that I have min. size set to 0 by default. And I still get circle-ended strokes. :/ It is just as If it ignored the pressure...

  • @SkyrnTFD

Are you using a tablet? If you are try updating it's driver from the official site.

  • @Nicole1725 I've got up to date drivers.

  • @Nicole1725 sorry for double: somewhere is written I have to enable some kind of "opacity dynamics" - no word how, though.

  • @SkyrnTFD

I don't know what Opacity dynamics are, but I'd suggest going into help/config > options and checking the tablet pen settings in there.

  • Amazing job, very great picture. I don't think the head is too big lol, you should see me fail at proportions..

  • @BoyOfLol

I feel like I'll never learn to draw things properly. It'd be nice to have some sort of teacher.

  • @Nicole1725

Yeah, I wish that there was an anime art academy. That would be my place for sure haha.

  • @BoyOfLol

I'd be happy with regular figure drawing classes. Once you can draw a real human distorting it should be easier.

  • @Nicole1725 Yeah, that would be great as well. Well I suppose we'll see where life takes us and if an art academy is in the road, good for us. =b

  • Guys I have PTS in english for free

  • @Sasuke15201

You do realize that that is illegal? The reason that Sai is not being developed further is because of piracy.

  • @Nicole1725 Well, I didnt exactly claim it but yeah i do,and how do you sketch?

  • @Nicole1725

I know piracy is illegal. But in countries not recognized much for technology products, we crack them instead. I currently live in the Philippines and the economy is very poor in here. Many of our senators use graft and corruption. WAAAH. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. I can't move to the United States because of this economy.....I HATE THIS POOR RUNNING ECONOMY!

    Mariana Erwin

  • @89990000

Governments are corrupt all over the world even here in the US. It'd be nice if we were not controlled by the rich but by people who care and can make a difference.

  • @Sasuke15201

I have one too. And buying here is awful. I live in the Philippines currently and we are not recognized much : (

That is why piracy is very high here........we can't get recognized because we have graft and corruption in this place.....and I want to go to the United States......I HATE THIS ECONOMY!

    Mariana Erwin

  • @89990000 Lol u in the phillipines?Im in Malaysia~lol

  • did you really use a mouse..? i need answers. because some use those pen stuff so that they can easily draw.

  • @Someguy367

I don't usually draw with a mouse. I can draw with one, but it's more time consuming and doesn't have pressure sensitivity.

I use a "Wacom Intuos 3 4x5 tablet". You can look it up on Google to see what it looks like.

  • were did you learn that kind of magic?!?

  • @Seko1231

Probably from the people who point out my mistakes.

  • Comment removed

  • what's a paint too ssai? is it something you can download for free?

  • @sarahostervig

Paint Tool Sai is an art program. You can download a free trial, but after a month you will no longer be able to save. The program itself costs $67.

  • Her eyes .. she's soo beautiful *__* great job.

  • hi ive just recently been bought a digital media tablet and i want to get started on using it but im lacking program that is good to use. could you pm me a link with info about the program u use in this video? with stuff like if it costs or whatever. thank you so much. and happy new year, i hope you had a great christmas

  • @HellzNeko

You can type in "Paint Tool Sai" into Google. Systemax.jp/sai/ is the official website.

    5250 JPY = $67

  • omg you guys are like gods.....

HOW DO YOU MAKE SUCH SMOOTH MOVEMENTS WITH A FUCKIN MOUSE!!

  • @dinobublz

I'm using a Wacom Intuos3 tablet in this video. I could draw with a mouse, but I prefer to do it in MS Paint or Oekaki. Sai just doesn't feel right when I use the mouse in it.

  • @dinobublz i'm pretty sure he/she used a tablet

  • @dinobublz u have to get a tablet. its like drawing on paper. :)

  • @dinobublz They're using tablets to draw, this could never be done with a mouse with pointed strokes. Tablets have pens, and the tablet you draw on itself has a pen pressure thing inside it, to weather how thick or thin the line will turn out to be.

  • @dinobublz Tablets also cost maybe around $100-$200, I got mine for $90 at Walmart brand new, although it isn't a Wacom Bamboo Tablet, said to be the best, I have a Tooya Pro, which is also very nice and useful. All tablet brands are great.

  • @StarToTheDust hahaha i got one on christamas thnks tho

  • @dinobublz ikr my fuking mouse is too sensitive and its as low as FUCKING POSSIBLE!!! eOe

  • Comment removed

  • @dinobublz I think that she used a tablet xD not a mouse :) but still is amazing!

  • @dinobublz she used a Wacom Intous drawing tablet, like the best drawing tablet you can find :P

  • @dinobublz It's called a Tablet..

  • @dinobublz its not with a mouse. Theres a new technology called Drawing Tablets. I suggest you get a Bamboo fun Tablet. they are easy to learn and fun

  • @dinobublz there's this thing you call a tablet XDD

  • @dinobublz Tablet :P

  • @dinobublz It's not a mouse, it's a graphic tablet. Like a pen-mouse. Just google it?

  • @dinobublz not hard its really like moving a pencil but with your palmall my digital arts done by mouse want my tablet so i have pressure sensitivity thoe :C

  • @dinobublz is using a tablet. thats why

  • Ive been wanting to make a drawing video,

been drawing anime since i was 6

  • @Gemanai465

There are free screen recording programs.

  • Do you use these pens for the pcs?

  • @MrTrollicus

    I use a Wacom Intuos3 4x5 tablet.

  • 0:01 youre better than me already! o_o

  • @Deidarafreak14

At one second? o_O; Circles are my enemy. D: I'll never be able to draw them right.

  • @Nicole1725 thats my problem!! >-< I SUCK AT DRAWING!!

  • @Deidarafreak14

Drawing is really frustrating. I wish there was some easy way to learn.

  • @Deidarafreak14 Never give up ^^ I started practice in 4th grade and my pictures were sooo terrible. But after some time of studying, I got better. I don't wanna say that my pictures are as amazing as the masterpieces you can find here, but after some time you will see results. ^__^

  • @Nicole1725 the circles should not be perfect..

  • how do you record the screen? btw i love your sketch its really amazing x3

  • @ILuVmYWIddLEfREnDz she probably used camstudio, it's free so u don't have to worry about paying

  • how do you get such smooth lines?

  • @furry2221

I do quick lines I suppose. It's easier than trying to draw them slow and having little wiggly bits.

if your asking about the pen setting it's at it's smallest size with min size set to 0. I think I have smoothing set to default as well. You can always put that up higher though if you want.

  • @Nicole1725 i tried my best following your instructions but still i cannot get that...um...*sketch look* ..how can i put it ..like thinner faded line at the edges of, if u understand wat m trying to tell ya =D lol

then xplain me MORE clearly how i do it

(nd please don't mind my english plse XD)

  • @heddntmkyvfd

    Wah... youtube is all different now. o_o;

Anyways, you need tablet pen pressure. As long as min size is set to 0 the end of your line will be pointed. I'm using the smallest size of line that is why it looks faded. It's because I'm not putting much pressure at the end of my lines.

  • what kind of tablet do you use?

  • @StarKevinStar42

    Wacom Intuos 3 4x5

  • @Nicole1725 with or without screen?

  • @PochiShiroNocturne

    Without

  • Do you use a tablet or a mouse?

  • @jonnymicjohnjohn

I can use both just fine, but for the most part I use a tablet.

  • THAT WAS AWESOME! ima steal your hands so I can draw like that :D

  • @2hotxoxo

I really can't draw that well. I have trouble with many basic things.

  • could i know your brush/pen/pencil setting? :3

  • @checheburecheklabush

regular pen tool at the smallest brush size with min size set to 0

  • You my friend, work magic.

  • @bluefire325

LOL na if I could do that I'd be rich lolololol

  • @Nicole1725 lol but seriously good job!

  • @Nicole1725 thanks now how to get a hundred dollars?

  • @darkro1122

If you figure out a way you let me know. ;_; *is fail at making money*

  • This is so good. Omg I'm really jealous of your skills

  • @thehalfbowlofrice

o_O; I'm really not worthy of that.

  • @Nicole1725 you are though! you're really good

  • omfgg. :o Its so hard to draw with a mouse.

  • Such a lurvvvley picture! I wondered, are u on a tablet? If so what brand? Im thinking of getting one an am trying to c which brand i should get

  • @Twiliwings

Wacom Intuos 3 4x5. You don't have to get an Intuos. You could always buy a Bamboo they are much cheaper. As long as you get a Wacom tablet you're going to have a good quality product that should last you years.

  • Wow that was an awesome drawing!

I like your style too! :D

  • @sakura18ism

I don't really have a drawing style at least not as far as I can tell, but I'm glad that you like it.

  • @Nicole1725 You probably do, I mean it's different from mine anyway. Lol looking forward to watching your other vids.

  • I'm better on SAI with a mouse. I don't think tablets like me.

  • @Solitemel

Did you install the tablet driver? How are you holding the tablet? I find it more comfortable to hold it under the desk/in my lap.

  • @Nicole1725 how much is a tablet? i have a hard time drawing with a mouse

  • @darkro1122

You should be able to get a beginner Wacom tablet for under $100 new. You can always check online auctions for cheaper prices.

  • @SuperModelista

It's not a bad program at all for those who know how to use it, but I don't have the patience to look through tutorials and such. It's also mainly made for making comic pages and since I don't have a story it'd be wasted on me anyway.

  • @SuperModelista

I've never heard of Manga Debut, but if it is anything like Manga Studio then I can completely understand. That program was like death to me. D: I didn't understand anything at all. lol

  • @SuperModelista

I do like Sai a lot. It's a great program for drawing/sketching. It's smoother than Photoshop and has easy flip and rotate canvas options. I'd say it is one of the most straightforward art programs. It's not really complicated at all.

  • @SuperModelista

It depends on the type of tablet. Just search Google for Wacom. It's the best tablet company.

Sai costs $67 at the moment. The price will fluctuate depending on the economy. So it's a good idea to keep an eye on it.

  • 6 people are jealous =P Nice ^^

  • @LauchiUsasukin

    I don't think anyone would have a reason to be jealous of me. o_O;

  • you have a tablet dontcha?

  • @4143645123

    Yes, I use a Wacom Intuos3 4x5.

  • @H2HxShD

I'm not sure... At the moment it's set to 300, but I'm sure it was probably set to 75 for this video.

  • Comment removed

  • What size did you make the canvas before outlineing

I can never seem to make my lines for lineart that small and fine :U

  • @PyroOnEdge

I don't resize the canvas to do lineart. I tend to work small. 300x300-500x500 and stuff like that. I use the pen at it's smallest size with min size at 0. That is why the lines look fine. It's the tablet pen pressure.

  • Yours looks much more sophisticated than mine.... (was trying to draw along :D)

  • @CaribbeanStreak

    na There is hardly anything sophisticated about my art. I can't even draw a proper circle. lol Just looking at the videos on the side panel makes me cry with envy. ;_;

  • @Nicole1725 Really? Because this picture was amazing!!!! Yeah, the art under the suggestions is really good, but you don't notice that yours is awesome too!!! Plus if other people didn't like your art, they wouldn't have subscribed!!! :D And i'm guessing the reason the circle was an oval was because the girl had her head tilted to the side! btw practice makes professional!!!

  • What canvas size do you usually work with? ^__^

  • @HayyelObsession

It depends. I guess usually it's pretty random. I like even numbers for the most part, but if the canvas is too big for my sketch I'll crop it in the end. So I'd say usually under 1000x1000 pixels. Stuff like 400x400, 500x500, or combinations like 600x800.

  • whats the program you used to create this fine art?

  • @lindsayisokool

    Paint Tool Sai

  • @Nicole1725 woow im stupid lol sorry

  • I see the line quality is pretty low, pump up your canvas size to 5000x5000 and you will get better quality.

  • @mrapple1000

You're just not use to seeing a small drawing up close. Things look fine when you view them at actual size. You can complain about my work being small, but do not complain about line quality being bad.

  • @Nicole1725 Didn't mean to complain, I was trying to help. >.>

  • @mrapple1000

It's fine don't worry about it. I just get annoyed when people seem to associate size with line quality.

I work small, but the lines look fine. It only looks bad up close to people who are not use to it.

    fav.me (slash) d4b4u78

    fav.me (slash) d4boah2

  • How do you do that 2:11? I can't figure it out! (newb)

  • @SymphoniaKarin

I lowered the layer opacity. It's a gray slider above the layers in Sai.

  • I really need a Tablet... But if i buy it from here on my country... i spent in the cheapest one something like this: $300~$400

I hate Brazil in those hours :S

  • @Tr3s3ntos

If you know someone in another country, you can have them buy one for you and ship it to you. It might be a lot cheaper this way.

  • How get you get those light strokes with the Pen? I can't seem to get it with SAI and my Tablet.

  • @VirusChris

The pen is at the smallest size. I have min size set to 0. I don't push down too hard when drawing. It's better to do quick light lines.

  • @Nicole1725

I have my Pen set to that as well, but I can't seem to get that light stroke like you do even if I don't push down hard (and sometimes it doesn't draw).

What's your Pen Pressure set to? Because of my Tablet Update I lost those settings for some reason for my Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

  • Do you have to buy a separate tool for this or can you just buy another software where you can use a mouse?

  • @TheVanillaCows

It's better to just buy a tablet if you want to do art on the computer.

  • What tool did u use for sketching? thnx and plz reply!

    ps nice drawing

  • @torchic633

    The regular pen.

  • @Nicole1725 Thnx!!!

  • Omg... i need a tablet xD

  • @rikkunikay

You can get a small one for under $100. Just make sure that you buy a Wacom. I wouldn't trust any other company.

  • @Nicole1725 Yea i was looking for this small wacom bamboo tablet, but anyway thanks ^-^

  • Hi, this is amazing :D U should finish it :)

Just a quick question, when you draw your lines, how do u make it pointy at the beginning AND at the end?

  • @AliyahMcGuiness

    Set min size to 0
