Sophie, I have a question. I am using Manga Studio EX and I can get good results, but one of the tools is confusing me.

In this video the gradients you used are really smooth, but when I use the gradient tool It is a tone gradient and that makes it look more choppy. Is yours also like that and you are just zoomed out enough that you cant see the tone pattern? Or is your gradient tool different in some way?

if you made a popular pay to get web manga using your youtube as advertising.. you could make... significantly more than that. say a 100 page manga magazine with a few stories every month. even at $2 each you would make as much with only 1k people. then you can accept other entries...

I've JUST purchased studio ex,and very slowly playing with it to draw the odd bits n pieces for a video I'm making. I used to use 3d software to create games so I'm trying to combine the two. @TristanMark1 People have different skills. It takes practice and skill to draw with a tablet. Just having a tablet/mouse doesn't make you worse/better than any other artist. What your saying is like comparing someone that sculpts using clay, and someone who sculpts using software(zbrush, etc) are never "good" as clay sculptors.

xD Sophie... I just got a new pen tablet (it's my b-day) it's a intuos 4 (wacom) and it's very good! if you wanted some opinions about pen tablets, i recomend the intuos 4. hope i helped you :)

@TristanMark1 Saved the rain forest in the amount of paper people would normally go through as practice. Dude art always moves on, digital is the next step. We started with sticks and dirt and stones and walls... it is a process. Expensive for the stuff, but in time it was will be available to everyone, just as paper and pens are now.

@TristanMark1i happen to be a traditional artist and a digatal artist as well, just so you know i do prefer useing traditional work and like having the real peice in my hands afterwords, but when you have a major dealine it's alot easier to work with the computer sweety:3 because then you don't have to worry about messing up, and having you work flow messed up:) and there are alot of fabulous digital artist out there sweety, even alot of professinols use computers:3
