It seems like Taiwanese accept mix-bloods as "local" more than mainland Chinese do. It's annoying how some mainland Chinese call 混血儿 children "老外" even if they were raised in China. People pay too much attention to appearance. I'm half Chinese, but I look more white, so Chinese people consider me to be 老外 and definitely not 华人。But Bruce Lee is also 1/4 white, and no one would say he's a foreigner.
