why did they abandon the name dragon warrior for 8? -i grew up on the name dragon warrior dammn it! dragon quest just doesn't sound as cool!

The Japanese name was always Dragon Quest. Way back when, someone else had the name trademarked. Recently, SquareEnix was able to grab the trademark from them.
