I used a boss template. The best way to get one is by getting ahold of an unlocked boss game then importing it to the game maker then clearing it and making your timerless game that way. Many people on the Warioware diy (DS) board can add you and give you one on Gamefaqs .com
I DONT REMEMBER how, but i have some of those minigames!!! I even got those VB warioland Boss (it was soo confusing until I found out I have to hit the back of those enemies before I watch this!) Im not kidding...
The moving background uses 8 16pt. objects, all moving to the left and jumping back to the right when they go off screen. It makes for a nice effect but puts a serious dent in your AI points that could be used for other things.

That was actually the 4th game I had made and was made well before the Black & White challenge was up. All the games you see on my shelves are arranged in the order that I made them. Which is why they start getting better in graphics and gameplay quallity toward the end. =)

You need to add someone who has an unlocked boss game of their own then download and import the game to the makermatic. From there you can delete everything in it and make your own games with no time limit in them.

DIY showcase secret: import your kirby games and make kirby checkered white and red. he will be pink on showcase! keep the original on DS and the checkered kirby on showcase! this works with other colors, like green+black checkered= dark green
I did try checkering Kirby's colors for the ds version of the game but I hadn't tried transfering it to my wii to see how it looked.
I do know that the checkered pattern in the comic maker makes a grey color on showcase though! So you can work with 3 colors for shading instead of just black and white when making comics.

I didn't use one but whoever the original person who started circulating the boss timer around did. I just got ahold of a boss timer the same way as most people, by receiving one of their unlocked boss games and importing it into the makermatic and making my own game with it. =)

Yep, that's a message that will always appear to let the player know who sent what to them. It goes by the name you entered for the person in your Wii fc list too, not the software name they use in diy.
What's SD3vsMispolm supposed to be from anyway? I made a minigame this morning called "Mario's 25th" to celebrate Mario's birthday. ALL the sprites in the game are from various mario games, and I took the Mario RPG MARIO VICTORY sprite from the boss game and 2 SMW Mario Sprites from "Fireworks". One where he is standing there with the cape on and one where he looks at the camera and does a V with 2 fingers, Winston Churchill Style. Shall I send the minigame to you today?
The SD3vsMispolm game is bassed off an awesome SNES action-rpg that was never released outside of Japan called "Seiken Densetsu 3", which would have been "Secret of Mana 2" if they released it in the US or UK. I was able to play it still by downloading a fan-translated rom of the game and playing it on my computer. I would recommend checking the game out if you like rpgs.
Yes! you can be sure anything I send you is professional looking sprite work, as games with crude sketchy drawings bother me. I only distribute the best things I've seen =)
As of now there are only 2 games I've made recently that aren't in this video, and one of them you already sent me a survey for (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories). The other one is a boss game titled "SD3vsMispolm", so once you have that that's all of my games. I also sent you 2 sonic games and a pokemon game mady by other people today. Hopefully you'll still get them on Monday, if not I can re-send them another day =)
Yeah it does get tedious and VERY time consuming. But it's just a slow process, not a difficult one, you just need to take it on little by little. I'd suggest starting off by making a simple retro game with 8-bit NES graphics so it doesn't take so long to finish, then work your way up to more detailed sprites from there as you get more comfortable with the diy makermatic.
Also I know this game has limited colors so you'll have to just improvise and use what colors are look best.
If I manage to finally get a game based off something retro buddy, what would you like as a shipment? PM me a list of games and I'll try my best to create them on the DS version and then I'll ship them to the Wii version and then to you via Wi-Fi.
Well don't make games bassed off of what I like, I would say make the games that YOU'd like to see on DIY. That's what everyone else does. It's all up to you to decide what you want to make a microgame of. This game gives you the freedom to make whatever your heart desires so you can do just that. People have even made microgames with graphic nudity in this game!

Most of the games I get are retro games and a few contest winners from your region. (since I'm in the usa my other UK friend sends the best of them to me since we get different contest themes.) right now my shelves are nearly empty since I achived another save file recenltly but I'd have to check to see what games I have up there right now and get back to you later on that.
No I think N64 Mario is also in the USA. My other UK friend is this guy named Mike, (did the first panel on that "Man of the Year" comic I sent you) or Edouard_keroo on the Gamefaqs boards. He's mostly known for his 70+ Luigi comics he's made an epic series out of. He's also made a few Game Gear Sonic the Hedgehog microgames. I don't think he has any YouTube videos of anything he's made though so you won't be finding him on here.

But I do recommend singing up for a free Gamefaqs/Gamespot so you can talk to other people on the Warioware DIY message boards and ask other users about their games and add them. You'll get plenty more games quicker that way =)
Sometimes I'm available for Wi-Fi from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in the evening and other times 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon. Tomorrow I'll be doing the latter. That's when I will be using Wi-Fi next. I hope you finish work before then!
Well, my friend code is correct then. When do you use Wi-Fi? Every time I play Wario Ware D.I.Y. Showcase I don't get any shipments from you. Maybe it's because you do it late at night or early afternoon or something. Do you ever get time off work mate?
Well no, I work solid 40 hour weeks every week, but none of that should matter. My wii connect 24 switch is on which means I'm always connected to wifi even when I'm asleep or not home. Also once you send something on Showcase, it's sent, and will always be there awaiting arival on the recipiants Wii, so long as they're connected to wifi long enough for it to have a chance to get to them. Is your Wii Connect 24 switch on? or Are you just going on a little then turning it off?

@acidflesh Because I like WAILORD a lot and also because it's from the Hoenn Region, it's a water type, and it's the biggest Pokemon in the world. It overtook STEELIX 10 years ago. In battle WAILORD would have the adventage over STEELIX because they are steel/ground types.
No, most of the people I know of and talk to are through posts on the GameFaqs boards. You should check them out, you could easily find more talented game/record makers on there to add to both your Wii and your DS. I've played many other retro games like that by others on there. Several people I know made pac-man games, as well as 2-3 different tetris games. Even a Galaga game.

yes, the first unlocked boss game you should get from me will be VB Warioland. I've sent quite a few of my things to you yesterday so I'm really hoping you get them this time lol. One of them includes a Mario Land 2 game so that's one thing I suppose you could cross off your list that I've already had made anyway lol.
Game backrounds can also be gotten the same way, Googles search "......" game backrounds, save picture, zoom in and copy it. Copying them is much more time consuming though since it's a large area being copied., but some of the simpler ones can just have one part made then copied across the screen.
Score counters would be more about the AI of the game. The old NES style game letters are already a usable font in diy just make the score you want then set up the AI to change it.
One more thing before I have lunch, I've ALWAYS wanted a Pokemon mini game and a sonic mini game. I checked for shipments, but none have arrived yet so I'll wait until about 3pm OK?
I haven't made any Sonic or Pokemon games but they are VERY commonly made by other people, some of them are quite impressive too. I probably never will make my own either simply because they're too common and I'd preffer to make things not many others have made already. Also I'm just not a big fan of pokemon so I won't be making any pokemon stuff. But once we finally manage to get you everything I've made we can talk about sending you games I have that we're made by other people.
I think I know why there's delays with our shipments buddy. I'm from the UK and you're from the USA! I think it's like amazon. Or, our Friend codes are wrong. I think it's the latter.
Well that's why then! lol if your Wifi is off then there is no way for them to get to you. It's not our FC's because were connected on each others list, so if our friend codes were wrong we wouldn't have been able to enter them let alone send each other stuff like we have (I did get 2 of your games yesterday by the way). Yeah a blinking "!" will appear on the yellow building then when you go there you'll get shipment after shipment. Up to 16 each time. If theres more waiting for you just reset the game after and you'll have more things waiting for you.
These are ridiculously amazing. The Final Fantasy V, Super Metroid, Virtual Boy Wario Land and Mario RPG ones impressed me the most, although they're all terrific.

This game uses the friends in your Wii's system contact list, so to add people you actually need to do it in the Wii's main menu. In the lower right corner, click on the folder icon to go into "Wii Message board", then click on "Create Message". Then "Address book" on the right side. To add others, click the "Register" button, then the Wii box on the left, then just enter the persons Wii number and screen name.
@acidflesh One more thing. I have "Fireworks" on my Kubik Digital Media Player. A friend of yours got a shipment of it, played it about 3 or 4 times, and rated it. I think it was 4 or 5 stars. The Comment was "You must have worked hard!" I think. It's on the clip "Playing my friends shipments and rating them". Have you seen it before?

I used a boss timer. You can't get it in the game itself, the only way to get one is either with an action replay code, or by adding someone who has an unlocked game that uses the boss timer then importing it for your own use. If you post asking for one on the GameFAQs/Gamestop websites message boards for this game there are a bunch of people who will add you so you can get your hands on one. =)

I didn't use one but whoever the original person who started circulating the boss timer around did. I just got ahold of a boss timer the same way as most people, by receiving one of their unlocked boss games and importing it into the makermatic and making my own game with it. =)

We should probably continue talking on the gamesfaqs boards instead of in Youtube comments. I'm on there more often and check them more frequently.
Also I just sent you a whole bunch more Sonic and Pokemon games you should enjoy. 4 of the sonic games are from my other UK friend I was telling you about. Try to get on as much as you can so you can get them all, there should be just under 20 =)

No Mike, my other UK friend is just nicknamed "Mike". Miles is someone else entirely who just happened to also make 1 or 2 sonic games, but Miles makes Metroid Zero Mission games more then anything else.

Well most of those I haven't seen any games of before. And I don't play pokemon so of all the pokemon microgames I've seen idk which ones are bassed off Platinum or Emerald.

Yep, that's a message that will always appear to let the player know who sent what to them. It goes by the name you entered for the person in your Wii fc list too, not the software name they use in diy.

What's SD3vsMispolm supposed to be from anyway? I made a minigame this morning called "Mario's 25th" to celebrate Mario's birthday. ALL the sprites in the game are from various mario games, and I took the Mario RPG MARIO VICTORY sprite from the boss game and 2 SMW Mario Sprites from "Fireworks". One where he is standing there with the cape on and one where he looks at the camera and does a V with 2 fingers, Winston Churchill Style. Shall I send the minigame to you today?

The SD3vsMispolm game is bassed off an awesome SNES action-rpg that was never released outside of Japan called "Seiken Densetsu 3", which would have been "Secret of Mana 2" if they released it in the US or UK. I was able to play it still by downloading a fan-translated rom of the game and playing it on my computer. I would recommend checking the game out if you like rpgs.
And yes go ahead and send me any games you make.

As of now there are only 2 games I've made recently that aren't in this video, and one of them you already sent me a survey for (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories). The other one is a boss game titled "SD3vsMispolm", so once you have that that's all of my games. I also sent you 2 sonic games and a pokemon game mady by other people today. Hopefully you'll still get them on Monday, if not I can re-send them another day =)

Maybe you could Fly over to Bristol over the Xmas period from the 23rd and show me how to copy sprites and backgrounds because I find it impossible.

Yeah it does get tedious and VERY time consuming. But it's just a slow process, not a difficult one, you just need to take it on little by little. I'd suggest starting off by making a simple retro game with 8-bit NES graphics so it doesn't take so long to finish, then work your way up to more detailed sprites from there as you get more comfortable with the diy makermatic.
Also I know this game has limited colors so you'll have to just improvise and use what colors are look best.

If I manage to finally get a game based off something retro buddy, what would you like as a shipment? PM me a list of games and I'll try my best to create them on the DS version and then I'll ship them to the Wii version and then to you via Wi-Fi.

Well don't make games bassed off of what I like, I would say make the games that YOU'd like to see on DIY. That's what everyone else does. It's all up to you to decide what you want to make a microgame of. This game gives you the freedom to make whatever your heart desires so you can do just that. People have even made microgames with graphic nudity in this game!

From there you can click sign up in the top right corner. Fill out your info then you can post freely on those boards (and any other boards) asking for all the fc's and games that you desire. You can also ask what people think of your own games, ask for help with any questions you may have, even request music for your games to see if anyone will make a track for you. =)

Most of the games I get are retro games and a few contest winners from your region. (since I'm in the usa my other UK friend sends the best of them to me since we get different contest themes.) right now my shelves are nearly empty since I achived another save file recenltly but I'd have to check to see what games I have up there right now and get back to you later on that.

No I think N64 Mario is also in the USA. My other UK friend is this guy named Mike, (did the first panel on that "Man of the Year" comic I sent you) or Edouard_keroo on the Gamefaqs boards. He's mostly known for his 70+ Luigi comics he's made an epic series out of. He's also made a few Game Gear Sonic the Hedgehog microgames. I don't think he has any YouTube videos of anything he's made though so you won't be finding him on here.

Well I have all of his games and when I have a chance I can go through my older save files and transefer those Sonic games back to my Wii to send them to you, as well as any other Sonic games other people have made since your requestion Sonic games =)
But I do recommend singing up for a free Gamefaqs/Gamespot so you can talk to other people on the Warioware DIY message boards and ask other users about their games and add them. You'll get plenty more games quicker that way =)

Sometimes I'm available for Wi-Fi from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in the evening and other times 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon. Tomorrow I'll be doing the latter. That's when I will be using Wi-Fi next. I hope you finish work before then!

Well, my friend code is correct then. When do you use Wi-Fi? Every time I play Wario Ware D.I.Y. Showcase I don't get any shipments from you. Maybe it's because you do it late at night or early afternoon or something. Do you ever get time off work mate?

Well no, I work solid 40 hour weeks every week, but none of that should matter. My wii connect 24 switch is on which means I'm always connected to wifi even when I'm asleep or not home. Also once you send something on Showcase, it's sent, and will always be there awaiting arival on the recipiants Wii, so long as they're connected to wifi long enough for it to have a chance to get to them. Is your Wii Connect 24 switch on? or Are you just going on a little then turning it off?

@acidflesh It's on now. I hope I get your shipments today! If not, I'll try again tomorrow. I wish I had Wi-Fi on ALL day when I'm not using the computer but I can't because that wastes electricity. In answer to your question, no I don't go on the computer a little most of the time. It depends on how much time I'm allowed to use it by.

I gave it 5 stars and said, "Didn't see that coming!" Could you do me a great favor for this lonely Bristolian please? Make some more Retro Goodness. Create a boss stage from Sonic 3 and Kunckles Doomsday Zone, one from Pokemon Emerald with boss timer where you face Lucy, Vaati one from Zelda Minish Cap and one from Mario Land Please?

Whoa slow down there, I've made records at the request of others but I don't really do game requests simply because making a good game takes days sometimes weeks to finally finish! all those games you want me to make would take months! lol Besides I still have all these ideas for other games I really want to make that I'm still currently working on in-between my work schedule, if I did game requests I'd never get any of my own projects finished lol.

@acidflesh Because I like WAILORD a lot and also because it's from the Hoenn Region, it's a water type, and it's the biggest Pokemon in the world. It overtook STEELIX 10 years ago. In battle WAILORD would have the adventage over STEELIX because they are steel/ground types.

No, most of the people I know of and talk to are through posts on the GameFaqs boards. You should check them out, you could easily find more talented game/record makers on there to add to both your Wii and your DS. I've played many other retro games like that by others on there. Several people I know made pac-man games, as well as 2-3 different tetris games. Even a Galaga game.

yes, the first unlocked boss game you should get from me will be VB Warioland. I've sent quite a few of my things to you yesterday so I'm really hoping you get them this time lol. One of them includes a Mario Land 2 game so that's one thing I suppose you could cross off your list that I've already had made anyway lol.

I don't know anything about you tube requests or making instructional videos, but making sprites on DIY is easy.
1. Goolge search -"......" sprite sheets. Where "......." would have the name of the game or character you want to make sprites of.
2. right click and save the picture you want to copy from onto your computer once you've found it.
3. open the pictre with any paint or picture viewing program that you can zoom in on.
4. zoom in close enough to see/copy the sprites.

Game backrounds can also be gotten the same way, Googles search "......" game backrounds, save picture, zoom in and copy it. Copying them is much more time consuming though since it's a large area being copied., but some of the simpler ones can just have one part made then copied across the screen.
Score counters would be more about the AI of the game. The old NES style game letters are already a usable font in diy just make the score you want then set up the AI to change it.

I haven't made any Sonic or Pokemon games but they are VERY commonly made by other people, some of them are quite impressive too. I probably never will make my own either simply because they're too common and I'd preffer to make things not many others have made already. Also I'm just not a big fan of pokemon so I won't be making any pokemon stuff. But once we finally manage to get you everything I've made we can talk about sending you games I have that we're made by other people.

Well that's why then! lol if your Wifi is off then there is no way for them to get to you. It's not our FC's because were connected on each others list, so if our friend codes were wrong we wouldn't have been able to enter them let alone send each other stuff like we have (I did get 2 of your games yesterday by the way). I have another friend added from the UK and we successfully send each other stuff all the time. You need to have your wifi on to be able to get anything.

Yeah a blinking "!" will appear on the yellow building then when you go there you'll get shipment after shipment. Up to 16 each time. If theres more waiting for you just reset the game after and you'll have more things waiting for you.

This game uses the friends in your Wii's system contact list, so to add people you actually need to do it in the Wii's main menu. In the lower right corner, click on the folder icon to go into "Wii Message board", then click on "Create Message". Then "Address book" on the right side. To add others, click the "Register" button, then the Wii box on the left, then just enter the persons Wii number and screen name.

@acidflesh One more thing. I have "Fireworks" on my Kubik Digital Media Player. A friend of yours got a shipment of it, played it about 3 or 4 times, and rated it. I think it was 4 or 5 stars. The Comment was "You must have worked hard!" I think. It's on the clip "Playing my friends shipments and rating them". Have you seen it before?

I used a boss timer. You can't get it in the game itself, the only way to get one is either with an action replay code, or by adding someone who has an unlocked game that uses the boss timer then importing it for your own use. If you post asking for one on the GameFAQs/Gamestop websites message boards for this game there are a bunch of people who will add you so you can get your hands on one. =)
