i don`t have Direct 10. My computer is 3 year old laptop. Maybe i`ll get one for Christmas, I am still running on DirectX 9

i have a problem with my A29B Tuccano i have downloaded recently. I have installed it properly but my model and its textures are not showing apart from lights, propeller and  two pilots. i have looked at the textures folder and i found that they are in bitmaps and all the default aircraft textures are in DirectDrawSurface format. i also have a weak 1.6GHz Cpu and 1GB RAM computer. i am not sure what is the problem. Can somebody help me?
