What you say about "nakuma" is so incredibly true. I live in Japan, have for 8 years. In a big city there are many internationalized Japanese who are more open to "making time" for you. In a smaller city of 400,000 people foreigners struggle to make "real friends" with Japanese. A Japanese might be interested in you and meet you alone, a few times a year. But it is extremely rare/unheard of for 99% of Japanese to introduce you to their closest friends. It is a social risk for them.
can anyone who live in japan make a movie about life in japan, u know, what are you doing in all day, breakfast, school/work, dinner, some kind of entertaiments, nice views? thay would be interesting for me and i think for many people
I'm also a Scad graduate and currently live in Japan. Since it's my 4th year here now, I recognize places and can read the signs from your footage. You're in a great place to try what you're doing, but I recommend doing more careful research and trying new approaches to make your shots more interesting. If you can impress people who are already knowledgeable of Japan then you know you've done well.
very beatiful clips. i wish to go to japan while im still young but money is the big problem. I know little japanese words but i do understand alot of the culture aspects. I wish to go there and learn the language by hands on experiance and make many other english speaking friends and natives of japan. Its a really beautiful country!
You are an ignorant person, went to Japan because you couldn't get a job or girlfriend in America, and know nothing about Japan except for the simple superficial things that you have been taught in your Japanese 101 book at the night school you pay too much to attend. Don't post anything about Japan ever again, as you only perpetuate the stupid biases that you and people like you attend to. You are the ugly one with the mouse face.
Technically it is harder for an American to get a job with a Japanese company, so you are wrong there. I can get a girlfriend in America, yet I went to Japan, wrong there too. I know much more about Japan than you do I guarantee you that, I am sometimes called more Japanese than a Japanese person. True many stereotypes about Japan are not real, but there are so many crazy and interesting ones that are real, it makes me love that country! Japanese rocks!
Nice commentary! This is quite something!

It might have been better just to think about your film than to actually watch it. But its done now.
