This is very very good! :) im doing Natural horsemanship and i also have a Young Mare. I do it the Same way As you do it;) and She already gave me the permission to let me ride on her :) maybe you want to check my Videos ???? ;)
hey, Im really interested in this stuff, I recently got my first horse and Im so excited! What you do is exactly what I want to do! Can you please tell me how you train your horse to do this? This is AMAZING and you should be so proud. I am 12 years old and all I want to do is be with my horse doing these things but Im not really sure about how to train him. Thank you so much! GOOD LUCK you have a really good future ahead of you:)
hunny i don't know why you have no comments...this is beautiful. I'm sure you're close after almost four years, i will look at recent videos if you have any! its SO great to see kids breaking in their horses in such a great way :)
@rainbowpony95 Hi it is the very begining of having sammi s attention it is the start of asking her to lift her leg without touch the start of asking her to place her leg in a certain spot or on some thing and the spanish walk
I Love this Video and also I checked out your Channel. Very interesting! If you need any help getting this Video and your Channel exposed to were it is top in all the search I found this site called tubeviews.(net) that has took my breath away. I'm working on my 4th Channel now, this one I just made. My Videos are getting so many hits now. Check it out and keep in touch.
Outstanding my young horse friend! You are very much an inspiration as I work at my natural horsemanship skills. I have you on my list of Favorite video so that I can view your video as often as I need too. I hope you are making great progress with Sammie!!!
that is fantastic. well done. you really know what you are doing and have proved partnership between man and horse is needed. You seem so young too. Brill
I got my three year old when I was ten. I wish that I had heard of Parelli already by then sometimes, but I spent those years learning about who I am without Parelli, my mom, my 4H leaders. Looking back at my ten year old self, I see that I was a good, patient person to my horse. Now, at 17 (Yikes!!), I am proud of what I have done with Misty without anyone's guidance. Like I said, sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to know about Parelli as a ten year old... good luck :)
i am 13 and i do PNH too! you are doing great! but i do suggest, if you dont mind, that when you do friendly, give your pony a bit more rope. only a suggestion!!
Happy playing!

Oh Mercy Courtney- I just found you today. What a beautiful partnership you share with Sammie- Yours is one of those touching videos I will send to others to show how awesome Parelli natural horse*man*ship truely is-!! BRAVO-BRAVO-!! Can't wait to see the rest of your diary. I'm certain Sammie agrees you are the BEST Teacher/Partner she could possibly have-! YoU GO GIRL-!!
you should be so proud of yourself.... good work... i'm 42 and my best friends are my two horses, too!!!! horses are so special! good luck with yours, you are doing so good with your horse!! youre an inspiration!
Well done! I am on a similar journey with my horse Polka! and passed my level one today! It made me cry to see you and your little horse in such harmony. Pat & Linda See what great things we have achieved because of your program?
You are doing a magnificent job with your horse. Keep it up! Despite the nay-sayers, natural horsemanship works, and the relationship you will create will last a lifetime. Have been using this method for years, and have trained a couple babies to saddle with nary a buck, prop, or other problem. Keep it up!
Natural Horsemanship formed the basis of this bond, equine Psychology, it has has proven its worth on numerous occasions there is much more to this principle than meets the eye, its how its applied , when its applied , and the ability of the person applying it and what (there definition of complete is) . Pat and Linda Thank You
I think it's great that you have such a bond with your horse, despite how I feel about Natural Horsemanship. Always keep that bond with Sammie, because she'll always be there for you.
hey thats amazing. can i have some advice on parelli. do you think it is really worth the money? You make it look like it is but im not sure weather i could do it.
It is worth every PENNY you spend on it. You will find out how smart they are and you don't have to beat on them to make them respond. I have used it on a stallion and am now using it on his yearling. Wonderful results!
You're looking great sweetheart, I can see you are going to be a very young pass for Level 3. I think the youngest in OZ has been 14! Love the song by Daryl Braithwaite....very appropriate!
Way to go Courtney! I think you're doing great with Sammie (She seems like a very special horse!) I can see how strong your friendship is in your videos. You must be getting very close to your level 1 now. :) Keep it up!
Courtney, don't let anyone deter you from your course of Natural Horsemanship. It is the ONLY way to have a true partnership with your horse that is based on mutual trust and respect. You're doing great - I wish I had found Natural Horsemanship when I was your age - but as an adult it has helped me fufill my dreams with horses. I hope it does the same for you.
I think you have a wonderful relationship going there with your horse. I particularly like it that you tell him when he has done something right and that you tell him often. Never stop doing that.
It;s great to see someone as young as you establishing horse connections like that.
I've not been a big fan of Parelli because he's rather closed-minded. Just remember that there's ALWAYS more than one way to do things when it comes to horse training. Good luck with Sammi!
hey that is great and when i get a horse i am going to do natural horsemanship with her( i want a mare) i was wondering what the name is of the first song you played
Wow, starting so young! I started Natural Horsemanship at 13 (17 now) and people always have good comments on how I work with horses. I've dabbled in Monty Roberts and John Lyons and have done Parelli for awhile now. After I recovered at the amazement of the ages of both you and your horse, I started critiquing abit to myself but I'm sure in time you'll figure it out! Keep up the great work!
You will find in the infancy of sammies training sammie moves back at phase one or two. phase one has now been dragged out to aprox 6 seconds instead of three as she has become better at all games since this video. I must say the most important thing is little steps at a time, EVEN A SHIFT IN BODY WEIGHT IN WHAT EVER DIRECTION YOUR DRIVING IS TO BE REWARDED
Very good! After watching your daughter I am definitely going to post part 2 with Cracker. I can see the concept is the same as John Lyons, his style is a little different. I researched alot of trainers and methods before I was blown away with John Lyons. Check out his website. She reminds me of myself at her age. Keep it up
wow, I have had my horse for four years and he is now eight... although we have a trusting relationship and good bond it is nothing compared to what your daugter and horse have. I will look up parelli and see if it can help us too :) x
Its not IF, it will help you if you persist with it. you may find at the beginning your horse may start trying to put one over you but with the info you will learn this WILL disapear - go for it mollymillymoo you will love every second of ot.
that is so sweet!but how can you learn to teach things to horses like that? (i know horses are the teachers and we are the learners etc) but how do you know how to do that? and is there really a kit that helps you train them natrually? thanks and plz reply!
its people like you and my daughter who will change the way people look at horses. Ive been teaching my daughter parelli for the last 3 months she is now ready to jump into level 2. I would not let my daughter ride such a young horse otherwise and there are times we wont ride until we get sammie completely left brain, once there she is a dream for courtney to work with - she has broken this horse in herself amazing job for a nine yeay old. go to google type in parelli and dont look back
Wow, that was wonderful. I just bought my level 1 kit and watching this video has really made me want to get started ASAP!!! I cant wait to get it in the mail!!!
