I love the real one with the twin turbines. The sound they make is awesome and so powerful. I think top speed of this plane was like 1500mph. I have seen a low pass by one at 700 and it was a sight to see.

Great video and great airplane. I worked F4N's for 3 yrs before transition to Hornets. those were those were some of the best yrs I had in my 25 yrs of Marine Corps Aviation. I was in VMFA-531 from 78-81. My brother-in-law spent some time in P-3 in the mid to late 70's. Thanks for the dedication. Semper Fi.

we are still using few of them in turkish air force , they ruled between 60s to 80s but after turkish air force started to use F16 15 years ago , they are no longer popular. on the other hand they are pretty fast planes with limited maneuverriability. F4 was definitely an awesome piece of military machinery and probably the best aircraft. I worked as a crew chief on F-4E/G's and RF-4C's in the USAF until they were decom'd in the 90's, then went to A-10's and U-2's. I still love the Phantom's. There is nothing like being on the trim pad when one of these goes into full AB. Talk about a power rush.

On the RC, looks like it is fun as hell. Do you know if there is a version with folding wings?

I don't like those Fan-Jets. They sound like a vacuum cleaner and they fly like a bee on extasy. I just watched the vid because I hoped you hit one of those bars at your fielt during start. Sorry for being nasty ;) .

Try to fly it without the gear. I bet it will hand start easy (may be a new job for the camera man) and land much better without the gear. And it will be faster and better looking in the air.
