My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325 weekends. 328i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the E46 is about 13.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $17 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:
It doesnt sound like you did just a muffler delete. This is the type of sound ive been looking for all my time and I finally found it. Not too loud, but smooth
why does the car have a little bit of difficulty in starting at the beggining. it should not have that problem as the car seems like a new bmw, not the old old shape 3 series
Fuel filter changed. And had a compression check months ago when i first made the vid & noticed it myself. Clean bill of health from compression check, plus i have oil analysis carried out by Blackstone Labs everytime i change oil ~5K miles, and no problems there either.
most of all i want a real aggressive rare tone. im not nessesarly looking for a huge performance upgrade just a reallly rare, aggresive tone. what you think about eisenmann?
nice wight loss and acceptable sound but do you think removing the resonators and using sport muffler like magnaflow or flowmaster will make power improvement
I dont think anyone could tell you a truthful answer, maybe a little, but its the noise you chould be doing an exhaust mod for. Dont get seduced by big names like Eisenmann, ACS.... sure if you've heard the exhaust in person on you model of car then fine, but i wasnt happy paying £400 for an exhaust I'd never heard on a 330i and so wasnt too sure on,...........and this mod only cost me £70, so even if i hated it (which i dont!!) it would have been easy to put right.
not much more noiser, you only notice it on accelerating, once you hold a constant speed its not much louder at all, and after using it for a few weeks you get totally used to any increase in noise.
hows that mate? sounds better and the car loses about 12kg (without a backbox/muffler) the, and with the exhaust becoming more free flowing, it revs faster and prob frees up a few bhp.
no muffler means a little more smoke on a cold start. also on a cold start then engine will clear any excess oil sitting around the valves. but when i 1st saw it i was also concerned, got a full compression check of all cylinders and got a clean bill of health :), plus it only uses about 300-400mls of oil per 1000miles, and its perfectly normal for a 330 to drink up to a litre per 100miles.
you're an idiot, fucking let the engine warm up before revving it like that!

the fuel filter and fuel pump may be worn.
All it means is that the fuel may not be reaching / igniting because of the pump and/or filter.
you should get it changed asap.

Sounds good compared to the others on youtube. Is it mild steel or stainless? Is it literally just the back box that's been replaced?
taxislider 3 years ago
Stainless steel, and yes back box removed and striaght pipes in its place.
