  • I have a goliath hybrid as well..It grows real short, but stout...healthiest looking plant I have, with giant tomatos forming.

  • Hi HackerGuitarist, and thanks for your question. I should have mentioned in the video that I live in SE Florida, so we already average daytime temps in the mid-80s, nights in the mid-60s. I'm in zone 9b, so the ground is very warm already!

    I love Cherokee Purple as well! I grew it last year, along with some other black and purple tomatoes.

    Good luck in your garden -- may you be blessed with lots of ripe tomatoes.

  • curious to why you mulched so early in the year?we normally wait till the ground has warmed up to summer temps before mulching.what zone are you..the plants look good so far !we also like to grow brandywines, german johnson, and cherokee purple. I'm in zone 6
