The reason so many people bash Marciano really has to do with racism. If Marciano was black, he would be regarded as a Top 1 or 2 HW of all time. He conserves his punch count, which gives him the energy to make it into the deep rounds. He has a ruthless body attack, which pays dividends in the latter part of the bout.
His power punches make his opponents feel like they got hit by a freight train, because he uses his entire frame to throw a punch. Fuck that Ali dance shit.

I believe that Ali would have rope-a-doped him into tiring himself out and eventually knocked Marciano out. I do think it would have been a harder fight for Ali and of course there is always the chance that Marciano could have knocked Ali out if Ali made a mistake.

I know Louis was in the latter part of his career in this fight. But give Rocky credit. Louis not only lost, he was embarrassed. So much so, that he retired.
I do like Joe Louis though. He was an upstanding man that I have much respect for and he was one hell of a boxer.
But Rocky is a fucking animal. Trust me when I tell you. If Ali ever fought Rocky, he would surely lose.

It's generally considered that Louis would beat Rocky had he been young, but Louis himself is unsure of the result. For sue Lousi was nowhere near as good as he once was in this fight, but Louis was always very humble and respectful so it's hard to tell if he really means what he says. Some people say Joe would get knocked out quicker because he would be more aggressive in coming to Rocky instead of being cautious like in this fight. Nobody can ever know for sure but it's fun to debate.

The reason so many people bash Marciano really has to do with racism. If Marciano was black, he would be regarded as a Top 1 or 2 HW of all time. His biggest weakness in terms of is Legacy was that he was a White fighter in a sport that was majority black. He conserves his punch count, which gives him the energy to make it into the deep rounds. He has a ruthless body attack, which pays dividends in the latter part of the bout.
His power punches make his opponents feel like they got hit by a freight train, because he uses his entire frame to throw a punch. Fuck that Ali dance shit.

I believe that Ali would have rope-a-doped him into tiring himself out and eventually knocked Marciano out. I do think it would have been a harder fight for Ali and of course there is always the chance that Marciano could have knocked Ali out if Ali made a mistake.

Walcott fought for the championship at 33 years old, the same age Louis was when he beat Jersey Joe in their first meeting. Walcott lost twice on decisions to Louis in 15 rounds & lost a split decision to Charles in another 15 round war Walcott, but then came back to win the next 2 fights against him until Rocky knocked him out in the 13th.

People will never give Rocky the respect he deserved. you people can't underestimate heart and determination. The man was NEVER seriously hurt in a fight. His work ethic was second to none, his cardio was through the roof, he had dynamite in both hands and a cast- iron jaw to go with it. I don't see what else the man had to prove. Ali got knocked out by Kent Green in a non- sanctioned fight.

I think there are many boxers who were better than Ali. Not just Rocky but Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson.
Just becasue Ali was quick, flashy and mouthy doesnt make him the greatest. The man did lose five times.
Now I'm sure you are going to defend him by saying that he fought great fighters. But still that doesnt change his blemished record.

So what? Just because has a certain amount of loses, that doesn't mean he's bad. And most of those loses were when he was out of his prime. When did I say he was the greatest? I didn't. There was really no one doing the era with Rocky He beat Joe Lous, yes. But Joe was out of his prime. Good fighter was he? Yes, he was. And Ali and Rocky werent even in the same division, lol.

I mean honest to God, Rocky was scared of speed, anybody who knows anything about boxing knows that. He retired before Floyd could have gotten a shot at him. Damato designed Floyed as a secret weapon. Cus hated Goldman too, he considered that whole crowd of Goldman & Marciano, Freddy Brown, all of them as being prostitutes for Carbo & the rest of the mob. He was gonna train a fighter to exploit all of Rockys fears & weaknesses, which all revolved around speed.

Neither of those guys are journyman especially Holyfield and that was when Mike was past his prime and not fight for love of the sport anymore just like here where Louis got knocked out he was not in his prime.

I never said Holyfield was a journeyman, He was a class act champion. Douglas, however, was a journeyman, that is why his odds were so much against him beating Tyson. I'm merely pointing out Tyson would not have beaten " them all".
