lol

looks really well prepared and delicious ^-^

  • unique combination there,,sisig with toast? and instead of mixing the eggs with the sisig, u let it cook sunnyside up..

but man,,thats looking good,,u got me drooling here,,

    cheers !

now to find some redhorse to go with that sisig u got there,,

  • change the hot sauce with chopped jalapeño with seeds still on it... it will be a real kicker in your drinking sessions... and one more thing... it's the best dish with san miguel beer on the side... XD...

  • LOOKS GREAT, MAN!

  • that aint no sisig im a filipino and i know a sisig when i see one that thing looks nothing like it

  • @proRemix It's his VARIATION! get it?

  • Well thats one pretty weird way to cook sisig.. xD.. But still its nice that our traditional dishes are spreading across the world xD

    Nice...

  • r u tory king lol

  • This is definitely not sisig. It is bopis, which is a stew-like concoction very similar to sisig, differentiated by the simmering process.

    Quite good, but not sisig.

There are various other things you can try with bopis if you're adventurous. Look up the recipes online.

  • dont add water.. let the soy sauce and vinegar only.. and aside from putting hot sause.. try putting green nand red peppers.. chopped.. dont fry the onions.. its more delicious when it is raw..

  • that was a good variation---thinkin' outside the box---what made you decide to use other ingredients? availability?

  • Availability was it. I had eaten sisig prepared at many restaurants in the Philippines, so I was familiar with the flavor mix I wanted.

  • that is good. i'm in cal, (l.a. area), where are you at? finding filipino is not hard where i'm at.

  • When I posted the video, I was south of Atlanta. Now (2 years later), I am in South Korea.

  • thats not how you do it.. you never cook the onion

plus use lil pepper or maybe jalepeno

one last thing never ever mix it with eggs..

    youre messin up the flavor

  • i wonder if you brought that in southern america.yummy!

  • Best with matching iced cold beer

  • sisig with a western twist!hehe....

  • that is not sisig... it looks nasty! stick with the original...

  • oomahhlord... where's ur beer?? lol

  • I tried it just the way you made this and it cam out Good! The 49ers vs Lions game never tasted so good!! Thanks it was a big hit with my friends (some non-pinoy). Thank You!!

  • its not origal!but good innovation..

  • wow when did you learn to cook sisig? its nice to see a foreign guy making sisig.. i think you very good... you make me really hungry, now time to get off and look for food..

  • I've been very observant when I've visited the Philippines. Good food everywhere!

  • @mybigbearron

All I can say is wow!!! I love the frozen part idea also "man your smart" are you a chef?

  • ....kulay inidoro ang kawali nya ah! ....ahihihihi! Oppppps....!

  • Unbelievably this guy learns Good a new style Sisig! makes me Hungry while watching delicious.

  • mmmmm... LAMI! hehehe...

I could consume a lot of rice with it! hahaha

  • awesome! that's what i do too. make a large batch then freeze. that way i save prep time. :)

    btw, nice background music. ;)

  • well, this one looks like uv been drinking and got a craving for food and did something ud never expect ul do when ur sober.but great for one drunk guy

  • thumbs up!

very nice that you made your own version of cooking sisig. thanks for sharing!

  • that's innovation!!! keep it up man..

  • yuummm!!! make me some!

  • Gus2 ko un umaapoy pa!.

    haha.

  • Would be good to add a bit of mayo. green peppers. calamansi. and chicharon. Have you eaten a chicaron yet? xD

  • Since I posted this video, I've returned to the Philippines several times and have eaten sisig in several variation throughout. You're right! Mayo, green peppers, etc add wonders to the dish. I watched Brendon's father and brother make sisig from the head and ears of a freshly slaughtered pig. It was delicious!

  • out of curiosity, i tried sisig about five years ago at a club with bands in ilocos norte. i was just curious what's a sizzling sisig tastes like coz' i heard about the dish many times. the truth is, i don't like it. it taste like fat with the mayo and egg. "dinakdakan" is the best!!! i'm filipino

  • To me, flavor-wise it resembles American breakfast sausage fried to a crispy outside while the inside remains soft. Of course, spices make all the difference in the world. I like the hot spices best. Texture wise, sisig is crunchier (due to cartilage bits).

  • i bet thats taste good.hmmmmm,,,,yummy

  • Hehe do you guys know how to READ? It's HIS OWN VARIATION. Plus he didn't serve it watery. He cooled it down and cooked it again. Sheesh. Learn to read, guys. Nagpapakita kayo ng pangit na ugali ng pilipino, and that's a shame.

  • the fck??rice cake? sisig homos way..

  • quick question. Are you homosexual?

  • why, you interested?

  • yumeeee! where's the beer?

  • Infairness Magaling xa magluto... "Sisig champorado cake na version".. hehehehe

  • CHOCOLATE CAKE

  • gnawa mong champorado!!! di nilalagyan ng tubig yan pati hot sauce na tae ng BABOYT!!!!

  • kadiri!! binaboy mo ang sisig ng philippines.

  • Yum! I miss sisig. Watching this video makes my mouth water. I like adding calamansi/lemon on my sisig, then eat it with steamed rice...

  • A white man knows how to do cook sisig, but most Filipinos dont know what sisig is, much less cooking it. hahahah

  • wow ..makes me real hungry huhuhuhu can u hand me lil coz im real hungry now...yum yum

  • Hey Bro.. nice one... yup its one of the most filipino favorites, especially among men... thousand thumbs up for you !!!!!

  • sarap!!!!! love your own sisig version man!!!!

  • Add some diced cheese when you fry them the 2nd time. Some just add the cheese after the boiling process and lets it melt while it cools.

  • the next Travis Kraft?

    ~orchidsproduction~

  • thats really how they do in some restaurant in manila. U can put it on freezer and reheat. if their gonna make everything from sscratch it will take more than 2 hrs,

  • looks yummy! :-)

  • that's not how u cook sisig...i'm from pampanga...that is where sisig is invented..that's not how it is made...T.T

  • Own version nya nga e, pilit mo na naman yung gusto mo, d ka ba ok naappreciate nang ibang lahi ang favorite natin.... relax

  • Did you spend Christmas in Korea? Do you work there?

  • I work in Korea.

  • I don't understand...where is the rice? lol

I bet you make home made scrapple too! Isn't that with pig ears? You have mad skills :)

  • its a "pulutan"..not served as main dish... it usually comes with a cold beer in the side.

  • yea but it is so good with rice!! now im hungry!

  • Scrapple is pretty much a similar idea... let no part of the hog go to waste.

  • i am sure it taste good.. many ways to cook it... although probably not my prfered version... I feel in love with sisig the first time I tasted it, not to mention i didnt know what it was made of at first.

  • The Filipino version I know uses pig brains. I don't go for this. Minus the brains (I am an American) I like it.

  • wow i loved sisig...even though its a long ass process of cooking...but its worth it..two thumbs up bro..

  • awesome version ron!! thanks for sharing! i like your way of making the sisig ready for later meals in the fridge!

  • annija089.. to cook adobo is very simple,1/4 kg of pork chopped, 3tbsp of kikoman soy sauce, black pepper, onion choped, minced garlic, salt, bay leaf, 1 cup of water, mix them together, then boil for about 50 minutes, the meat must be tender and its almost dry. you can also add chili pepper to make it hot and spicy.

  • it looks yummy!!! but i like sisig when it mixed with calamansi or lemon and a lot of chili to make it spicy hot, you can also add ginger.

  • Very good Ron! You made it!

  • Omg are you mixed with filipino or something? cos ive seen your filipino tag game thingy.

  • Some of the filipino matter has rubbed off on me, but my butt is still white and my eyes are blue. LOL!

  • hey i think i like your version...youre a good cook and i like the music. wink. thanks for uploading nice vids here..

  • yum...yum...yum...really mouth watering. i like the way you cooked it, its really your new version.--pia

  • just an opinion, the best meat for sisig is a pig's head. half boiled and half grilled and then whoala cook it the sisig style.!

  • I'm sure you're right, but such is not readily available in this part of the USA (and likely nowhere else in the USA).

  • By the way, have you tried penoy? (peh-noy-) it's like Balut/balot but without the chick inside. Like a normal egg. Oh, and have you tried cooking adobo? I sure don't know how to make it but my grandma does! Ginatan (Gi-nah-tan) is my favorite Filipino dessert! I have no idea how to make it but I'll ask my grandma...It's like rice and sugar boiled together with sago balls and yam and stuff... have you tasted it already? My mouth's drooling now... LOL :)

  • I can't say that I've tried any of those foods. So far, though, I've enjoyed most filipino foods I've tried. I'm so glad you enjoyed the ride!

  • Yay!!!!!!!!! I'm in the Philippines and I love Filipino food! My grandma's a real good cook! Like you! :)

  • My God, I feel hungry now!!! This is what I miss most - the Southeast Asian food. The kinds you can't find here in the U.S. Chinese restaurant. And the tropical fruits like Lanzones and Rambutan. Do you eat Balut, too? I'm just wondering. Most westerners don't have a stomach for this. Love your vid.

  • I ate Balut once. It didn't gross me out, but it wasn't all that sensational either. Wish I'd had some hot sauce to dip it in.

  • anthony bourdain would approve*_*

  • yeah..that was really mouth watering.. the way you cooked is really different from what my ninong does..he doesn't caramelize the onions, and it has celery, fried tofu, mayo, and lots of chili.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the ride.

  • LOL i havent eaten sisig only adobo(i live in filipines now on singapore)but in singapore my grandma used to cook adobo though sana pwede rin ako kumain ng sisig!!!

    anyway,have a good meal

  • I've been there many times, and my videos tell it all.

  • Check out my video called "Pork Adobo, Well Sorta." Enjoy the ride!
