Horses in Japan race in the opposite direction to horses in the united states? I never knew that? That seems so strange. Is this video tricking my sight somehow or is this true? And why? I don't understand why that would be?
Paul, to see Defcon in the paddock area all dressed up and ready to go just gets me every time I watch it. Long haul first time out. Happy he'll get that second chance!!! Thanks again, and again...
They have to ride the mount out till the end of the race or they will get fined and riders these days can't/don't ride with their hands and heels anymore.
Yes, I understand that, and I can see that they don't use their legs. But I just don't like that they whip the horses for every gallop- step they take :/
Very nice, Endo. I'll be buying another Of-Track TB, as soon as I find a suitable Stallion for my mare, so I don't bumb out of riding while she's pregnant. =P Might come to you for problems, I gave my mare 3yrs rest before working her, when I got her straight off the track, but yeah, wont have that long this time. though I will allow 3months for his let-down. so yeah, love tha vids, stay safe. =]
Hi Endo, I like to see that you follow your horses. It must be difficult for you when you see mistakes made on your horses, or injuries. I have much respect for your work. Keep it up!
I'm sorry I kept asking you to do this but what a thrill it was to see them run. You really have gone all out. We all thank you. Do you like watching them run or would you rather not see them after they leave you? It put a lump in my throat. I can't thank you enough.
i did japanese for 3 years! i can only remember "buta" though... not too helpful when i actually speak to a japanese person lol. is it just me, or do tb's look weird? ive always hated the sorta long, plain types of horses though. when your in a race, is it disturbing to be looking at all those bums in your face, especially pointed straight at you like that? urgh. even if they were hot it would be weird
Meisho Tametomo looks like hes going to be a good racer! coming from last place to first! you gave all of these horses such wonderful starts. Thank you for doing what you do and keep it up! :)
Thank you Paul for allowing us to be a part of the wonderful work you do. Staying here at this small TB farm/training facility, I am gaining a lot more understanding of what you face everyday. Kudos to you for your remarkable ability to handle a family, business, staff, training, your recent international excursion and all us fans that clamor to know more about you and what you do. Thanks again
Yeah! Thanks for the updates. Thanks also for giving them such a good start so that they'll have a shot at a life after racing if they are given the chance.
aww, the babies are growing up! I can't believe you went all the way to Sapporo to watch Marine in his first race - thank you for that. He really is a stunner.
Glad that you were able to follow some of the starters in to their careers. Happy that at least one horse will get a second chance for life after racing and maybe he will have a good race career yet.
There's one super fast one you got out there! Let's hope he stays sound. YAY!
Our fave chestnut is the mystery horse, huh?
Your colts seem to break clean and stay focused on their job out there.
You do GOOD WORK! And you surely have at least one WINNER!
