Listening to lectures doesnt fall in that category unless the lecture is part of a Jummah Khutbah prayed at home as you watch the Sheikh on your TV or computer... Alhamdulillah. It's great to know that all sins can be forgiven if someone repents sincerely. Satan tells us not to seek forgiveness; he makes us think we shouldn't ask Allah to forgive us because we were disobedient against Him. He makes us ashamed so that we feel bad to seek Allah's forgiveness. Brothers and sisters, no matter how many times we commit sins, you still need to ask Allah to forgive us. Don't underestimate Allah's mercy. May Allah protect us and forgive us.
Yes but that still doesn't mean u can carry on doing sins and then seek allah's forgiveness all the time, then thats just taking advantage, but we should still ask forgiveness,

how can you tell the difference between a whisper and your own soul's desire? i really need help with this, i feel bad when i think something i should think...and get scared its my own soul and that i cant even blame it on shaytan :'(
thers evil from jinn thts shaytan and thers evil from human which is us.And as shaytaan is locked up in ramadan i guess u can compare and contrast ur desires of nafs and the whispers of shaytan before,in and aftr ramadan an prlly might help u telll the diffrnce too.But generally,diffrentiating these two wont make any diffrnce rathr seekin refuge in Allah will.hpe that helps if not blame is on me.salaaam.

if its a haraam desire or a whisper thats telling your to do evil or is going to lead to evil then its from shaytan
remember that the devils flow in the viens of us, so its not just a whisper, he puts fake desires in to our hearts. e.g when a muslim boy is going after a girl, shaytan puts fake desires into the heart of the boy/girl to chase each other more.
