  • "Buy local" = micro-mercantilism. Good luck with that.

  • Supporting local businesses support local economies where the taxes pay for the amenities we depend on and all too often take for granted.

  • @DarthMakaveliSithMC If a shopowner is unfriendly or racist, then they are a bad shopowner, and are damaging both their own business and the business of their local community by being so. If you find a bad store owner, it might be an idea to tell them that they're being rude, and that this kind of rudeness is costing them their custom and their reputation, then they might think twice before doing it again, just like a rude waitress losing her tip.

  • Buying local will save our cites and towns! Jobs now more than ever depend to localism 

  • My experience has been that local storeowners often treat customers shabbily. Yes, some local shopowners are nice, but I've found more to be rude, unfriendly and sometimes racist.
