Looks like the audience wanted to sing along. As an artist you kind of want to sing it the way you want to but if it was me I would bring the notes down a bit and maintain a steady tempo so everyone can join in tune. I dunno that's just me trying to read the crowd and trying to ensure everyone can have a great time.

I remember Cory Monteith saying in an interview once that he couldn't sing in interviews, on talk shows, or anything not relating to the show on the chance that he hits a sour note or something thereby slandering his image and potentially giving him the reputation of someone with a bad voice... does this not apply to Darren Criss?

Granted, he probably didn't sign the same contract as Cory...

@wulyfs I find it had to believe that that would actually part of his contract, but instead it could be cory just not wanting to or not being comfortable with that kind of stuff, I mean he is not actually a singer outside of glee, he didnt sing in his original audition tape and his in person audition was supposedly the first time he sang to an audience. Unike darren whos been writing music and preforming shows long before glee.

@chabanabam This was the evening show. It was just him and his guitar. The other song he did that blew me away I accidentally posted to my husband's youtube account @theirongiant. (He was still logged into it on my iPhone). Mr. Criss tweeted about last night while we were all at HP7.

@cacodoxic check out my reply to @x0xRuthx0x. I don't think Mr. Criss let them go to town on his voice/performance. It is however a polished show which calls for a certain amount of tweaking I guess. Thankfully, his live voice doesn't sounds that much different from his Glee number, aside from the arrangement, of course.

@x0xRuthx0x My friend (he's an audio engineer) talked to him outside at the meet and greet and asked him about the auto-tuning done on the show.Darren told him that he was given a lot of control over what was adjusted of which there was very little.

What I loved is that he spent very little time doing banter with the crowd and the little he did was in a humorous way e.g. the No Way song, which I also posted.
