So this video is great, helped me out a lot, and I set up Sheepshaver fine. However, every time I try to install something, it says "the application program that created it could not be found. Could not find a translation extension with appropriate translators." Any idea why that is? :(

@sevdalismanoli Oh, and re-downloading it wont do anything. If you don't delete the preference files, you'll keep getting the same Sheep Shaver no matter how many times you download it.

@sevdalismanoli Look, dude. When something says that it is risky to do it, you shouldn't do it. There is a reason why Sheep Shaver isn't supposed to be in full screen mode, and you put it in that mode anyway, even though the GUI warned you. Not my problem.

more problems, okay, well I checked the fullscreen box in the preferences and now I can not open sheep shaver without it crashing, I can not access preferences when in fullscreen mode so am stuck no matter how many times I delete sheep shaver and re-downloading

actually I just ran into another issue.... I'm trying to install my game onto one of the three disks, and it keeps telling me when I don't have enough space, but in OSX I have plenty of space on the disks with 7 GB. What's going on here?

My issue is when downloading the .img, it automatically mounts the image so I can't just add it into the preferences. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for this. Got it working just as you described. Just one question. Went I try and install a game in the OS9 window. I keep getting a message saying 'Sorry - file error at line 1275'. Any ideas what this might mean and how to overcome this issue?

Did you make sure to exit out of it and restart again? You have to close out Sheepshaver for the GUI to apply whatever you put in the settings.

@AndNilsProd Well then, it seems you might have to delete the old Sheep Shaver preferences, or I guess you're SOL if that doesn't work. I suggest Basilisk II, it's better.

Even after I followed you instructions exactly, SheepShaver still doesn't open. It quits immediately, like before.

@ECL28E It does, but Basilisk II is much better at classic CD ROM emulation. A helpful tip might be to take all of the files from the CD and put them in your shared folder so you don't have to load from the CD when you play it.

OS9 runs fine. My sister is trying to play her old CD ROM game and it doesn't really play. It starts up, but freezes...so to speak

Alright, here's what you need to do. Install a program called MainMenu, then use the option under disk management to force eject a mounted disk image. I've had your problem before, just not with sheepshaver.

hello, I am wondering can you make a video on How to get rid of sheepshaver because i deleted everything but the disk mounted on my computer will not leave it says that "it is in use" and try quitting everything before ejecting or something of the sorts but i have quit everything and the white disk will not eject I have logged out and logged back and etc but it will not leave please help me Thank you in advance

So I copied an App to the desktop of OS9, would this run correctly from Sheepshaver, i keep getting memory errors. I have plenty of ram on the computer and I assigned ram to the app. Any ideas?

Hey dude, got the emulator open sweetly, everything fine. One problem however: the game I tried to open in this OS 9 window refuses to work and instead gives me a message saying "Couldn't allocate a sound channel. Try to restard (hold Shift down) with extentions off." Any ideas? Could this be related to the audio setup we did when preparing the disk image? Thanks again.

@Emankeyy Sheepshaver is the program that opens the ROM. Just follow what I do exactly, and there will be no issues.
