Lol lately i´ve seen zvp ending mostly in z victory. It used to be p just massing up colossi and a-moving while zerg pushed against wall but now zerg are more passive while tosses expands without scouting or harrashing and often dont even go to colossi and loose in macro game. Balance have not changed. Time to check out meta game.

Sure Idra's better than Spanishiwa, no doubt. But there are a lot of Terrans better than TLO yet TLO is the bigger name with the bigger following.

Starcraft is entertainment, Spanishiwa's style of Zerg is very entertaining, so its not surprising many viewers would prefer to watch him play.

@SonOfNye True, but some players have that little extra and IMO Idra doesn't have it - not yet anyway. This series was a good show of that, especially game 2. There are other "top" players with the same problem, Morrow for example. They know their builds and got the micro, but if something happens they just can't react properly - think outside the box. I don't know how many times I've seen Idra rage-quit indirectly due to this very reason. That being said, Idra has stepped it up a bit lately.

@mholden02 But Idra has a far larger following, so your point is suspect to say the least. Any day that Idra streams he will pull many times the viewers that Spanishiwa does, and indeed he pulls more viewers than any other player. Spanishiwa makes a lot of replays available on youtube through the typical channels, while Idra doesn't, that's the only reason he has a bit more visibility on here. Anyone remotely interested in competitive play isn't particularly interested in Spanishiwa.

@mholden02 I was responding to the comment that Idra has a smaller following than Spanishiwa, and refuting it using the only available statistics. I'm well aware Spanishiwa has been influential in terms of popularizing a build. Day9's interest reflects that, but isn't relevant in terms of someone wanting to watch the highest level competitive play; they are two different things. Day 9 had Iechoic on for similar reasons, doesn't make him a better or more followed Terran than say, Jinro or MVP.

@mholden02 Not to mention, Spanishiwa is very new and has nowhere near the amount of experience of Idra. Given how amazing he already is, I wouldn't be at all suprised to see him dominating the starcraft scene in a couple years--assuming he keeps playing of course.

But that's kinda what I was saying, his style centers around his build of not getting gas for a long time ;) And it's hard to tell the difference because a build will obviously be a part of your style, and when you adapt your build to your opponent, when does it become a "style" and stop being a build? i wouldnt go for a forge fe against macro master idra. He just took 3 bases without any danger and outmacroed mana. You need to do early preasure against idra so he cant drone up so easily.

@Drys7 Depends entirely on the build. It's legit to go nexus/cc first on this map, but some people prefer to go 1 gate/rax expo just for the added safety vs cheese.
