Wow, awesome example of why I won't buy sound-equipped HO engines: too corny. Thanks for sharing! Also, what is with the giant railhead that sticks out at the opening and at like 4:16 ? That looked painful.
@callinstead09 You realize the trplex's wern't very sucessful locomotives only 3 were built. They ran out of steam embassingly fast, Too small of a boiler to provide steam to all 6 cylenders.
The prototype only ran for a short time-- so unless you're modelling the Erie, late Teens to early 1920's, and you use the Triplex as a rear end pusher-helper on long freights-- it'd be an anachronism to employ this engine on your line.
Interestingly, not a single HO manufacturer currently sells an Erie caboose that's period appropriate for the engine.
MTH is doing amazing things in HO. Thanks for the video!

triplex was an Erie freighter and NEVER pulled PRR pax cars.

Terrific looking engine. At least the model ones did the job.
Congrats on a great steamer.

Woah, that would look great pulling my father's train of ICHS reefers or ICHS coal cars. I love the smoke efffects!

Wow I did not know they made locomotives in that wheel arrangement. How much does that go for? $1K+? Nice vid.

At 4:20 you can see that you have a track problem...rail not in the rail joiner, & causing all wheels to drop...Yikes!!!

Do any of you guys realize there were only three of these built for the Erie?

I donno who'd want one because these run outta steam like..... insanely fast.

Iam a O gauge operator that has a loop of
HO track. the track I run on is Kato.
that track you operate looks like Bachmann. My experence with Bachmann
was that the turnouts sucked. The O gauge Tri Plex that i run is a super lokie and has the same sound system.

Id love to have the black Erie prototype, but I can't stand the overly corny crew talk, "don't worry Leeroy!" could have been better.

The Pennsy baggage is Walthers. The Pullmans could be Branchline- buy my guess is Walthers. Dunno about the 40' boxcar.
