i don't know much about Turkenistan but i would guess in that looks of its people tend to variate from region to region. The people who live in the areas closer to Uzbekistan probably have a more asian look awhile those who live closer to Northern Iran will tend ot have a more persian or caucasian look.

According to anthropology most turkmen are white appart from the 20% of turkmen who either have mongolian face or features.uzbeks who live in turkmenistan are only 317 thousands and karalpaks are less than 50 thousands plus they dress differently.But turkmen always wear those hats.Actually mongol did conquer turkmenistan and massecred many people too.

Anyway I say turkmen can somewhat pass for italians.

LOOOL I've been to Turkemistan, very nice country, but it was just weird when the people there were always touching me... like when I was walking on a crowded street in ashgabat and turkmens walked by they would touch my shoulders and back area... maybe they were squeezing by cause it was a crowded street but it was just weird cause they were all doing that.. but still great country lol.
