ok , you treat with laser, but you can;'t treat all floaters, the small ones, the dots, also, there are big chances that will appear again soon... the only operation is vitroctemy. Cheers

I've only had this for two days but already I'm feeling suicidal over it because none of these docs are near me and I'm afraid to fly. I also worry it's going to take my retina with it. Mine is more like a nictitating membrane, cloudy spot, that seems like you have gotten some cold cream in your eyes and can't wipe it away. It stays in the same place, and can be conjured up with a certain type of eye movement.

I'm in a panic needless to say.

I live in CT. I know so well what she is talking about! I've had them since I was a little kid. But now, they are worse. I have a thick line that is twisted in my line of sight in my left eye for example. I have like a one cell floater that is dead on in my line of sight in the same eye. Each eye has so many floaters ...man, help! Is there anyone doing this in the northeast?

i have eye floaters in my right eye. 2 years ago i fractured my skull and my vitrious jelly in my right eye is now condensed said the 2nd eye doc i went to. they said will never go away but posibly get better. so far they have worsend.. : ( i have them 24/7 for the last 8 months

To: blfycdq, I've talked to a few young people who'll swear their floaters came on after their LASIK. I have to believe them. It may be from the temporary pressure and distortion of the eye while the flap is created. Regardless, these are likely the difficult to see and treat floaters seen in young people.

I'ld say totally painless given that are no nerves termination in Vitreous humor inside the eye; another question is how safe it is for the retina in the MD make mistakes when shot with the laser; this is one of the point to be careful. Anto (an OD)

What type of floaters are caused by lasik eye surgery?

Are these floaters caused by lasik surgery "The difficult and enigmatic floaters of young men" as listed on your website? or might these floaters might be of the treatable type? What are your thoughts?
