  • you so good>>>> more than Pro tach violin

  • I used to play violin from 8 to 11 y.

Your video made me want to learn everything again...

Well... one thing, its easier now.

    Thank you. =D

    *Sorry for the bad english.

  • We never did see her Saturday... (-:

  • how come you stopped recording lessons?

  • you have the same Violin as I do !!!

  • i like your style,.....: -)

  • you lost interest and hence you stopped playing.

  • Hi Ms Nguychix.

It ashame that i have found your video so late. I was interested in learning violin and have reasonly bought one. was trying to look on youtube to learn but yet of all the hundreds of tutorial from yourtube from proffessional to violin teacher, your video are the best. watching you remain me of my mistake and take conform to know that it is ok. I wish you continue your kind effort of sharing with us. Disregard of if you read this or not, thank you for passing on the experience

  • I really enjoyed watching your videos, sad there's only 4 and no more coming :(

  • @bogmaerke Aww I'm sorry =/

  • @nyuuchiX do u still play? :P

  • hey? Why did u stop doing the lessons? did u also stop playing violin? Dont dissapoint me! I am getting my violin tomorrow. Wanna learn it properly.

  • Hi i want to learn violin and i liked your lesson can you help me?

  • Are you still playing? Are you 27?.. You look like 14...Thousands of people here waiting to see you playing.

  • These clips are from 3 years ago.

How is your violin getting on? You still on it?

  • ahahahahaha he first melody and it sound very bad

  • I got one question thats for beginners that you haven't touched, How tight should you tigthen the bow? How often do you have to rosin it?

  • Nice video. The tone on the tuner is so when you re-string your violin you can tell what the note sounds like and at least get it close. Or else you might break a string.

  • Hey so are you still playing?.....why haven't you posted any new videos?

  • a guitar tuner works perfect (e a d g) big to small

  • how much was your violin?? or r u renting it out?

  • I think you did good instructing, I would get all mixed up and as for learning it well, I dont have patience sometimes so. I would love to learn and I enjoy watching others play. Anyways to hell with the a holes that can learn that stuff in 3 days, hells its probably gonna take me awhile to get the notes down.

  • hes my question and i need an answer may i subscribe =P coz its already done

  • Hi !! Are you still uploading your Violin Lessons ??? I was looking for it for about an hour .. I'm also a beginner and as an additional information for my violin lessons, I watch your videos .. I know it's too late to ask .. More power ! :)

  • YAY good job :) your bow is a lot straighter than in the first three videos and your G on the D-string is ringing at some points, which means it's really in tune. congrats! i would really like to know how violin is going for you now; you seem really motivated and like you're a fast learner.

  • Hey, I watched all your videos and I noticed one thing, you have nice lips.:p ahmm thanks for sharing your lessons, you are really nice to do such a thing.:)

  • are you going to post anymore videos of lessons? these are some of the best ones i could find and i am refering ppl to them for help lol

  • Nyuuchi, Thank you! I like the way you teach ^ ^ I've learned alot from you. Hope I find some more videos of yours. You Are Nice ^ ^ . Take Care.

  • Wait did she says WoW??

  • Practice makes frustration teaches you one of the most valuable and wonderful things in the Universe. It is equal to Love as the very things that bring this Universe to LIFE. We are the Creators.

But. We must learn to patience with ourselves,.... before we can truly love our neighbor.

    Thank you nyuuchiX

  • hee You play "altijd is kortjakje ziek".

Pretty good allready. Now i sadly see there is no more violin lessons of U. :'-(

Thanks lot for the few lessons.

u skipped the tape alltogehther right? ur "kortjakje" didnt sound that bad ;-)

  • Do you happen to live in the East Bay, CA? You seem pretty cool, I just started playing violin and it would be cool to practice with someone. This is my boyfriends old account btw :P

  • You play wow? haha. Awesome! What server?

  • This was2 years ago. I am very curious to see how you play now. You should post a new video.

  • your playing the right notes its just that you r either too flat or too sharp...but ur doing very well..

  • When I star to liste your song I feel likscdj sdma Z z Z z Z z Z......

  • Secondly... The E A D G strings are all perfect fifths of each other... Play two of the close strings together(ie. G D or D A or even A E) and it forms a chord. :) because of this you can actually start twinkle twinkle on G, D or A and get the same song, just in a different key... Enjoy experimenting :-D

  • First off... FOR THE ALLIaNCE!!!!!! 80 nelf warr/tank...

Ok the "tone" plays that sound or tone, usually it plays an A-440hz, for the more

Experianced musician. Once you develope your ear you can hear the pitches and you can tell if you are sharp # or flat b (looks like a lower case B) so you can tune by ear instead of watching that needle... Sometimes tuners can be off which is why you learn how to do it from sound

  • @youngtrunks yeah I totally agree it's better to learn by ear but some people can't hear, it's a talent dude- some people are stone deaf... also nyuuchiX i know you made this 2 years ago and play wow at the same time thus prolly aren't still playing BUT if your teach hasn't told you yet make sure to hold the neck in a way that forms a gap between your thumb and the neck... that makes sure you're grasping it correctly with your chin/neck and gives you better finger accuracy!

  • i know its a talent... i also know people are born tone deaf.. lol (u said stone :P) but for those that can hear pitches... ear is much better lol :D ty for the comment milovachan

  • I want to Thank you for posting all of your video's. You are a big help and super cool for doing this!!

  • your doing really good from when you started and from your last video. hope your much better now because this was 2 years ago

  • On my first violin lesson I played that song and also the basic theme from Beethoven's 9th.... but I'm also a guitarist so it's easier for me! XD

Good thing that beginners help beginners.

  • it's very dificult isn't it ? xD

  • She is doing very well from when she 1st strated and at least is trying lay off the girl. Many of us follow her and are glad for her.

  • That is not the reason. You are just an ass. She is a girl that trys and works hard. There is not reason for you to post mean things to her. What has she ever done to you?

  • thats hot

  • you carry yourself in every videos you posted really well.. why dont you try being a VJ for music televisions.. your very talkative and you act like one already..

  • The reson you have a bridge is so when you play up the neck it will make a sound without making a buzz sound. If you look at the bridge and fallow the strings you'll see that the strings are higher off the finger board twords the top then get closer when they go down. Thanks for your videos.

  • wow your improving!!!

  • I know you will learn the violin within a month. I did. Unless it is jut me. You are very great as a beginner. I have been playing t for...6 motnhs now.

  • my friend who knows the flute tells me that i can't learn any intrument anymore because i'm too old. i'm 16 this year and after watching your video i'm really interested in violin. i just found a violin in my storeroom and i'm just playing around with it.

  • your friend's mean.. :(

one is never too old to learn an instrument! And you're just 16? Definitely not too late. :) If you're willing, you'll learn in no time!

  • @arishachan777 Hey I fully agree with that, I'm only 18, had violin lessons for a month when I was 11, and that didn't work out, because I was a lot more into piano than violin. And after 7 years, I became extremely interested in the violin, the sound of the instrument itself just pierces my soul with joy, I'm just amazed by it.

So after a week I learned like 8 songs.. hehe... So yeh, I'm just fully supporting that no matter how old u are, You are never to old to achieve anything.

  • arishachan777 is right. sori1004jy is 32 and she's playing hundreds of songs!

  • Where did you buy your tuner?

  • How are you progressing? Show us a video! :D

  • Are u likely to put up a clip to show your progression. I'm just starting out learning and am loving it. And I'm nearly 40! I love ur videos!

  • nice lessons... im learning thx :) reading back the pages ur 23, and i thought i was too old (20)... but seems i can... i really have to look for a teacher now... but ur vids helped a lot if u could continue making vids would be great :D

btw i also play wow what are u there?

ah... added u in suscribers ;)

  • lol cool you play WoW im so adicted to that game

  • Can you teach me that music?

I can't see very well where you put your fingers.

    Please help *.*

    YOur the best

  • Lol.... its soooo much better if u learned how to play the violin in like middle skool or somethin cuz the rental 1's are like $25 a year lol...Ur violin is expensive o.O

  • Wow you have gotten a lot better i have been watching your videos to learn because i am getting a violin really soon thank you and great job! 5 Star!!

  • I thinking of learning the violin and your lessons at first amost put me off! what a noise.... not sure if I can stand going through that pain barrier. But Seeingyour 3rd lesson I think I am going to go for it. How much did your violin cost and what sort is it?

    anywau bye from england,

    rob.

  • Oh man... I can't remember exactly how much I paid for my violin... I spent $200 for the violin and a month of lessons o_O

  • if u live in england den u no watford shoping centre det hav muzik store i got my violin for £159 nd the book was £10 but der was also violins for £59 the reason i pade more was because i got mine in pink so i had 2 pay more but dats the cheapest ones ive seen

  • hey uhh im an uhh advanced 7th grader in concert orchestra lol....and uhh...o.O

It took me 2 months to play twinkle little star lol! anyways...how much did u buy ur shoulder rest for?

  • It came with my violin :D

  • @nyuuchiX Do you still play your violin?

  • @Phanny11 ,you took two months to play that song?! it took me three days (counting my first class and I have 13 years), but I'm proud you're in a musical orchestra!

  • @Phanny11 you can get a shoulder rest for around 30 to 40 $

  • by the way,you are talented,if you really work hard & practise everyday,Grade 5 in two years should be no problem. UNLESS ur teacher wants u to take exam. grade 1-4 is nt really that important..

  • the sound that the tuner produce is for you to tune your A string...try to turn it on & play with the A string together, they should sound the same,if ur violin is nt out of tune...every violin player will tune their A string 1st,then follow by others...

everytime before you use the tuner to tune your violin, try to tune it with your ears, then only re-check/re-tune with your tuner...it will help you to have perfect pitch...(it is very important for a violinist 2 have perfect pitch)

  • I like your video a lot. I'm a beginner too. ^_^

  • one thing you do very well, which most beginners dont, is manage to keep from playing on the fingerboard. keep it up because its a really hard habit to break if you do start playing on your fingerboard (bowing on the fingerboard).

good job on your first song!

  • You're doing fantastic. I mean, you've done what? 3 lessons, right? And you're playing a song after only 3 lessons on one of the most hardest instruments to learn, without the tape. That's pretty spectacular! (p.s. I'm starting my Violin lessons in February-ish hehe) Good luck!!!! :D - Keep it up, and you'll sound amazing!

  • Hey..

I think you are doing good

When I first started, I couldn't play a song after two lessons :]

  • nice try....

  • HAH HAH I Say! HAH HAH! I heard absolutely nothing you said because I was so blown away by your skills. HAHA! WOW you say? I played it, but it was too hard, so I went back to FF11. Foolish mortals! Kawaai! One of the worlds greatest pianos? or you? The latter!, but minus an "A" and its a piano! Definitely the personality.

  • hmm relax your hands, especially on the left, since that's most important in shifting, try and hold your bow less stiff it should help : ) i remember my first time play twinkle twinkly XD GOODLUCK! :D

  • oh never mind u already answered it here :D i havent finish the video when i put that comment so i didnt know.. hehe sorry.

  • hi nyuuchiX! what kind of tuner do you have and how much was it? you know the tuner that you showed on your 2nd violin lesson.. theres a lot of tuners that i saw in the internt but i dont really know what the perfect one!

    ur getting better! :D

  • hey, very nice, but when are you uploading the 4th lesson, believe it or not im acctualy learning, btw thanks for the othere lessons, keep it up!

  • hi me again

    do you have messenger??

  • i don't have a messenger :( all i have is email, youtube, and myspace

  • Your little finger is in the air :)

  • yea, bad habit :(

  • While possibly so it's not that important all the time. Jascha Heifetz, one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century would often alter his bow hand. There are many different bow grips that one can use; it's a lot of fun trying to find what works for you!

  • a tone I believe is to tell you audibly what key you're playing in. At least that's what those are used for in vocal music!

  • The tone, for a Tuner like that, is used to train the ear to tune to concert A. Watch an orchestra tune to the A of the oboe or clarinet and you'll see what I mean.

  • i just have to say that the ending of this vid is pretty funny! XD LOL at the different faces that u make!

  • I played violin for 2 years when I was 9/10 and it was taped. I'm signing up for lessons now 9 years later and I don't think I can NOT have tape. It's probably not good to be too dependent on it. Learning where your fingers are supposed to be is good. But I still love the tape. And great job playing the song! *subscribes*

  • w00t, thanks :D

  • ok, i can't be the only one that laughed inside when you said you were gonna play WoW but the servers were down. Didn't strike me as the MMO type.

  • Obliveon is SOOOOOOOOOO much better than WoW

that took me forever to finish the black hand missions

  • lmao z0mg I'm totally an MMORPG-er... kind of... I also played FF11 when it FIRST came out in the US but quickly got bored with it (I always had bad groups and died constantly because I was a whm.... it wasn't fun to lose lvls)

Oblivion... lmao well it looked too complicated for me so I didn't fee like starting it :(

  • oh, oh ya, You don't really look like you're 23. Ha. Anyway, thanks for helping.

  • Hey, I love your lessons. You kind of make it easier for me. Anyway, do you mind asking your teacher if its easier to learn a violin or a cello? Cause I'm actually self-learning violin as a start off first before I start cello lesson after my O levels. If I'm too old (16 yrs) to start learning a cello, I may just choose to learn violin instead. Thanks =)

  • I'll ask but I think they're both pretty much the same in difficulty...

Also, it's never too old to learn something new if you really want to! I'm 23 :) and I just started learning the violin :)

  • dear nyuuchiX!

    I've a question.

What kind of book do you have to practise?

  • Essential Elements for Strings (beginners) :) I showed it in my last video lesson if you want to look at what it looks like :)

  • help me with the fingerin to play abcs and others. if u have a music sheet to send that would be nice..

  • you are crazy but i like you

  • I found a violin set for beginners on Amazon.

It it around for 100 dollars.

    I think I'll buy it.

  • that's a good deal :) mine was almost 200... i'm not sure of the brand though... ventura or something?

  • I haven't dicided it yet.I was suppose to go with a Hallstatt's electric violin,but I found a better non-brand-name electric one .I'm wondering.

  • I have a question.

What kind of Violin do you have?

Mine is a Suzuki actually. Oh and about the bridge:

Is held in place only by tension if you were to let that bridge fall, it would be really expensive to have that and the piece inside the violin repositioned.

So yeah be careful on that.

    free-scores dot com

Is a website with..well FREE SCORES!!!

Well that is it for my long comment.

    Keep up the good work!!!

  • yea i know that piece on the inside would be expensive to reposition o_O is it held also by tension? ... the sound post even

  • Yes everything seems to be hold by pressure.

LOL most things would NOT work under pressure, but the vioin does!!!

So what kind of violin you have?

  • ventura or something?

  • cool! you're getting better and better! i stopped practicing a week or so ago coz my violin went out of tune again, but seeing your vids makes me want to go and practice again ^^

@luolunsi do you have any vids on how to grip the bow? coz my hand cramps up easily holding it. is there a trick to keeping the thumb curved? maybe my hand is too big o.O

  • O, and keep an eye out for your left arm's wrist position! Keep that curved as well, so as to enable its freedom along the finger board--it'll also reduce the amount of stress you incur while playing.

    So, don't collaspe your wrist.

  • wow i really appreciate your comments! i'll keep it in mind and try to hold my violin and bow better! seriously thank you for the constructive criticism:)

  • I watched your previous video, so I would like to say perhaps your ring finger should be over the eye and your middle finger next to it. Don't lock your thumb but keep it curved. When you hold the bow, don't grip it "too high" up on the bow. But you're doing great. You'll incur difficulties when learning a new instrument, but keep up the good work.

  • Hi,

I got a new violin yesterday, watched your 4 violin videos and you answered all my basic questions, so I just want to thank you and ask that you keep up the good work! :)

  • Wow, you're making some serious progress there! Intonation is of course hard. I'm amazed that people manage to figure it out at all. Also, I'm always scared to see how light and fragile these things are -- I would be terribly afraid to drop it! (I <i>would</i> also be afraid to drop my piano, but the reasons are sort of different there, I think.) Another informative video, thanks!

  • WOW im proud of you .. :)

  • Cool, looks like your getting better.

uh...why would I see you saturday?

    Keep up the good work.

  • thats when i have lessons! and i normally post up videos on saturday :D

  • yaaaaaaaaaay! :] improving! :D

  • :P thanks

  • nice job! Try to keep your pinky rounded.

  • doh! Rounded pinky... got it :)

  • That was really nice, you did got better!

It seems that the B note is a tricky one ahh?, the first one you played it more like a B flat, but it sounded cool anyway, you gave it a minor sonority touch, so you could say it was an arrangement =D

  • yea, I'm still working on intonations ^^;;

  • Comment removed

  • Yay! Thanks for answerign my tape question! :)Haha your face expressions are so cute! :D I don't know what that lip-pull at the end was about but it still made me giggle!^.^

  • I don't know why I pulled my lip either... I was going to cut it out, but I thought you guys might enjoy it so I left it alone lol

  • wow you got loads better...not trying to sound mean. Keep up the good work.

  • thanks :) I'm doing my best ^^ Intonation is still bad, but like I said, I'm trying my best!
