  • Hi

  • I was actually at this race and it was cool, then I took an arrow to the knee

  • I thought that it would be really easy to make it down a straight road for like ten seconds

  • F A I L Of E P I C N E S S H A H A Ha Ah Ah
  • The biggest fail of the 20th century

  • Epic

  • I used to crash, then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • Fail

  • ha

  • What a wanker! Cant even make it down a straight quarter mile. Makes you wonder what these pricks are like on the road...lol...

  • @brdgooding Brad that's bogus...

  • Oke, it's the nitro tank

  • Check out that fire extinguisher trusting itself in the lower right corner at 0:12 lol

That driver was very lucky to be alive..

  • thats a nitrous canister

  • @miguyuguyerT3X they uh don't use nitrous just blowers

  • whats a quad cam engine?

  • In this case, 4-overhead cams on a fuel motor. One each for the intake and exh. on each bank. The McGee showed some promise, but needed more r&d. Getting closer to spec motors all the time now...

  • thanx

  • If your refering to the quad cam engines that were being built for top fuel and were eventualy banned by the NHRA, you will find that they were built by an Australian by the name of McGee.

  • Why did the nhra ban those engines. I always wondered why suddenly news about them disapeared. Reading the comments on youtube, doesnt it want to make you weep for humanity.

  • Yeah, that was too bad and an important step towards NHRA limiting the "unlimited" (once upon a time) Top Fuel class. Gary Beck did quite a bit of work with the McGee bros. Pretty much for naught. Drags sure aren't what they used to be-are they? Shame...

  • @FuelCoupe Naw, this IS the Tim Grose that he was talking about. Grose and Schubeck build quad-cam fuel motors that can be used on the street.

  • lol i saw the nitro tank :D

  • Thats not the nitro tank you fucking idiot. That is the fire suppression bottle r-tard.

  • ur such a dumbass dat wuz not funny

  • Thank you for pointing that out. I am glad it was a highly intelegent peron such as your self who pointed that out. Now may I suggest you go back to school and learn to read and maybe even learn how to spell as it is you who appears to be the dumbass. Now for your information a 'Funny-Car' is a type of drag racing car.

  • dude its not supposed to be funny.. its the type of car dipshit..

  • oh sorry lol :D i need to learn to read! :D

  • its not funny

  • thats when f/c's looked cool it was fire extinguiser bottle under pressure flying across the track

  • after the wreck there was a roket going across the track!lol!!!

  • yeah tim grose raced after this crash for a few more years, i believe he won a few races as well and i think retired in either the late 80's or 90's today he is now a builder of high-performance engines

  • do u no if he ever went ito car racing again

  • Wow!! Did he lose control because of oil in the tires or just lost it? What happened 2 him?

  • The throttle got stuck.

  • When did he retire?

  • Not a 100% sure but I think it was around the late 80's early 90's he retired.

  • Wow surprisingly only $60,000 for that car, I expected hundreds of thousands.

  • Yes around $60,000 for a Nitro F/C in the 1980's, around $130,000 - $150,000 to buy one today and then add a another $100,000 or so in spares before you even think about going racing.

  • 1st sorry

  • at 4st i thought he´s dead

  • its a pity.. cuz he gets hit by the railings, explodes, and the only fire extinguisher (spll) he had exploded and flew off lol

  • like FuelCoupe fucking said

Funny-car is a class of drag racing car

  • hows that funny

  • Funny-car is a class of drag racing car.

  • There called funny cars... CaUSE THEY LOOK FUNNY.

  • tim grose was a good racer..one of teh rare 280z funny bodies

  • the fire bottle shooting across the track

  • One o the luckiest dudes i ever seen,lucky e didnt lose his arms.wow.

  • Prudhomme: "He lost it", "It got away from him".

Those are cheap shots from Prudhomme (He never could beat Grose). I remember when it happened.. Grose had the throttle stick wide open. Not much to do but shut the fuel off and hang on...
