@tangypasta Really? This is only a small one, tuna can grow really big, my grandfather was a fisherman, when I was younger he would take me fishing and yes, Ive seen him get bigger ones than this
Great video. Where was this taken? I was in Japan in September and I'm planning another trip in 2012 or 2013 and I think it would be really neat to visit this place.
and the bones probably were fed to dogs. They're so resourceful and waste almost nothing. That person cutting up the tuna is definately confident in his skills. No safety glove.
@RumpusGrumpus wth? What does this comment have anything to do with this? My family have suffered horrendously by the hands of Japanese soldiers in WWII (My great grand mother was raped and killed while pregnant and the unborn baby and mother were left to hang on a tree by their intestines) and i have hold no ill will towards the Japanese at all. It is not our problem to bear at all and comments like this don't help anyone.
@RumpusGrumpus wiki/Bombing_of_Tokyo + wiki/Hiroshima_and_Nagasaki USA is no better than the japanese by that ideology with the exception that other nations tend to apologize for the crimes while americans find the beastialities they did to be "strategical" "required" or "heroic"
even then the whole nation is not responsible for decisions of 10 or so people and generalizing them by that is more than ridiculous

@Lil306 I think it's more likely that they used the bones to make stock.

Tons of mercury in that Tuna as well as any. Tuna by nature is a mercury accumulating fish, no matter the waters it comes from.

I want not only sushi, but a whole tuna and one of those fellas to work it for me.
I wonder how much they cost to buy? The Whole Tuna, not one of the Japanese workers! Damn they clean that carcass down to nothing. Not a shred left.
I'll bet that's some Nummy Yum Yums.
