It absolutely floors me that most people that are in my age group (18-28) have no idea with what's going on or what they are doing to themselves when they are around this crap and yet don't think it's a big deal. Most likely, she put those pictures in there as an example of how the media claims to have one set of ideals or values, but demonstrates another. Secondly, the "liberal drones" in the classroom accepted this as a valid project because it is her opinion, based on facts. The assignment is to consider how the media influences our political behavior such as voting, opinions, donating money etc. The point is, this assignment is our interpretation of how the media controls us. Her 2 pictures that made fun of Fox News do not in any way prove that she worships the media.
Has anyone noticed that we constantly keep comparing our selves, our movements, our thoughts to what we feel other influential people set the standard to, either consciously or unconsciously?
We shouldn't be scared to step on unknown ground and explore new ways of doing things. We should call this the inner revolution.
