  • I'm just saying what I know. That sometimes people take jokes too far. Yes, it is not the only factor but heard by the wrong person and it could be.

Thank you for what you do in woman's shelters.

  • Sorry vduke, your that damn reply/remove key being so close. Here was your comment:

and those people will get their beatings when that happens.

In the rare case where true justice comes to those who are perpetrators of domestic violence, the people will learn its not ok.

A joke is not going to factor into an assault in any case.

A joke is never the reason behind violence against women. Just like rock is not the reason behind columbine.

    Psychotic impulses are the reason.

  • ok i am a feminist and someone who is doing a fundraiser for a womens shelter. I think everything in this video is good, but what was that last thing about?

I make jokes sometimes, but ive never hit a woman dont plan on it. Ive ne ver done anything to hurt a wwoman.

Jokes are not indicative of violence unless it is a joke about an anecdote.

    Context is e verything people

  • I just meant that some people may take the jokes too far. People like you, who are intelligent, may realize it is just a joke. But some people may hear a joke, hear people laugh and assume behavior like that is acceptable.

  • A very valid & very underappreciated message!

I can still recall, back when I was a little girl - how transparent the

double standards & deep seeded misogyny in many men of various

social walks of life were toward the opposite sex - And how there was

always "always" some justification for it... they were, & (still are) ~ countless.

I've sometimes wondered how men's intense rage toward women would be quenched,

if one day, suddenly, we all vanished from the face of the earth.

  • Forgive me if I double post.

I'm not sure if my response went through the first time, or not... continued...

  • Good job!

  • Thank you for this video. :) I'm verbally sexually harrassed constantly. I'll just be walking down the street and some guy will say something inappropriate to me. I used to come home crying each day, but I've learned to be stronger. In cases like that, you can report it, but it is sooo common. I know pretty much every girl experiences verbal sexual harrassment.I wish more could be done about it. BTW my name is Justine too. :)

  • No way another Justine, that's awesome!

Yeah abuse is scary. It's been an eye opening experience taking these classes.

  • It's sad that in Western societies all this basic information (and a lot more) spreads mainly through such partisan-channels like a private you-tube video and not made a top government priority for the public to be aware of and combat. People in brain-washed societies are just waking up. Have no illusions. What becomes known is just the tip of the iceberg. And domestic violence is only one frequent way of abuse.

  • good info

  • I thought so.

  • I like the way the camera moves along to read each line, I think I read at the same speed as you cos it worked out perfect! Lol! I think it's a very good video, great to make people aware of what's really going on. Sad that it happens. I have a good friend who was sexually abused and she has never been the same since, such a pity.

  • hahah yeah I need to make a better one but I'm glad you liked it.

  • Good, you should maybe when it stops being "funny" it'll stop happening. Just say one of these facts, sure to kill the lighthearted mood.

  • Very thought-provoking..I'm enjoying your videos, keep them coming!! :D!

  • Scary stuff, but good information to have, the more we are aware of this, the better equipped we are to put an end to it.

  • It didn't turn out how I wanted. I think this summer I'll do it the way I intended. My teacher liked it.
