I've always enjoyed riding through the Lune Gorge. It's the best part of the West Coast main line. It's even better behind steam.

I lived in Cumbria my whole life and thought it was boring, then five years ago went to live in America. Stayed there for 2 years, then came back here.
Driving up the M6 and watching the fells come into view, I started crying.
I'll never leave the world's most beautiful county again.

Linesider, When I'm shovelling sh-sh-soot out of the smoke box or cleaning the motion, it doesn't feel glamourous, but every cloud has a silver lining.

Really great shots - thanks for sharing Hugh. The Duke sounds superb and interesting views of the day from the support coach etc. Like the informative captions as well. Shame about the failure but hope it doesn't take long to fix. Chris
