Story is that it first was written for 4 horns. But it worked out to be unplayable. In my opinion, even with five horns this is a hell of a job. And you did it f*kin great!!! I once met 5 horn players from 'Flexible Brass' who performed this in the south of holland. And they were smoking to... Incredible peace this is!

Why did they change the key from the original? There's no need for that.

Did we change the key? What do you mean? Are we in a different key as the CD-recording?

@salsadestroyer so ya know Kerry Turner himself made the change in key from the Brass Quintet version. I think he wanted it to be in the best register possible for horn. The original key would have required some ridiculously low notes if it was a third lower than this. A sixth higher would've required a double high Bb in the 2nd horn lol haha. Good ear though! I didnt realize that at first.
