This is from 2002 - at that point, no one knew who Palin was, and Bush was the ultimate example of a conservative who acts like a good 'ol boy, attacks his opponents for elitism, and uses "intellectual" as a dirty word.

Plus, they chose an actor who looks a lot like Bush, and they had him speak just like him.
