Alot of people give the bass shit, but it's part of the band, and I happen to love it for some reason. It's what I love to play...on Rock Band...but if I would learn the instrument, I definitely would.

Sounds good. And don't listen to people that say "learn harder songs" because that is just plain dumb. The best basslines/songs are the ones with the simplest of sounds. Just because a song has three hundred different notes does NOT make it a better song. Keep it simple, keep it smooth, keep it real. And fingers or pick, it doesn't matter. Use your own style :)

I do like the bass parts of all the artists songs above, its just the bass feels so much more natural, like an extension of the arm or hand when palying it your hands. I know this because I also play bass, and play many songs on bass that artists use picks on.

thanks. i play with both my fingers and a pick, depends on the song. i played this with a pick because im pretty sure nikki uses a pick on all the silversun pickups tracks. see some of my muse covers for fingerstyle playing.
