First three minutes spent talking about nothing, and then you don't even explain your settings, and completely skip over key generation and how to push that custom config to the router's filesystem. I'm more confused than before I watched this, thanks.
No worries on bricking the Asus RT-N16. Its almost impossible to brick that damn thing. I've done it many times with OpenWrt, DD-WRT, TomatoUSB etc etc. Very good device to have as a gateway or to handle your VPNs.
@LapulgaPTY I think there is a Asus Firmware Restoration Utility on the cd or downloadable from Asus. Not sure if it works on a bricked router, but worth a try.
@roadrunner2131 thanks, i got it working, with this, downloaded the official firmware, manual IP on my PC(192.168.1.10), used the the restoration software, before that, i shut the router off by unplugging the power cable, plug it back in while pressing the reset button, wait til you see the power LED blinking, then open the Restoration software, have it search for the official firmware, then let it do everything, normally takes around 2 min.
David, is there a way to get the Web FTP access that is promised on the Asus firmware to work with this version of TomatoUSB, using the asuscomm.com DDNS service they offer?
