  • i'ts really cool to see you play this awesome song, with the big smile on your face that you have. feels good to even look at it, even without the sound. but ofcourse, you shouldn't watch it without the sound, cause it's such an awesome song. Thanks for uploading :).

  • Thanks so much for your very nice comment. All the best to you. Ed

  • Ed thank you for this channel. My grandpa had a box mandolin that he tuned to soprano uke and we'd sing all the ragtime,20-30's songs on it as well as a few Hawaiian. So many beautiful happy memories here now that he and parents have passed. Can't wait to break out my $16 uke for the 1st grandbaby Nov.7. God Bless and keep posting. minnow

  • Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Music does create memories and these songs provide allot of those for me too. Good luck with the $16 uke. I bought one of those for one of my grandchildren and it works well. I taught my oldest grandaighter to play "Music, Music, Music" on he uke. She now is a pretty good guitarist. Soomething to look forward to for you and to keep the memory train rolling. Thanks for taking the time to comment and for subscribinng to my videos. Ed

  • well thats great. im 16 and learning the ukulele and i really enjoyed your video. it made me giggle. thank you.

  • Thanks so much. The uke is a great instument for playing the "giggle" songs of the 192os. My oldest grandchild is 16 and learned to play the uke. She is now into guitar and playing songs from today's bands. Stay with it. It's great fun once you learn how to move from on chord to the next. Ed

  • well i have wanted to learn the guitar for a while and i thought of it started on the uke it would be easier to go to the guitar. my dad had been playing guitar for 40+ years now and he has a band so i guess the love of music runs in the family.

  • Thank you for posting this! My grandfather played this for me all the time on his ukelele when I was little (30+ years ago). He's been gone for 20 years, but he would have loved playing that with you. :)

  • You are very welcome. Thank you for your touching comment. It made my day. I play for my grandcildren too and I hope that they will have good memories too. Ed

  • I'm sure they will, and they'll be doubly blessed that they have a video to remember you with. I wish I had more than my memories of my grandfather. I sing his songs now to my own daughter, but it would have been much better to have his playing preserved for her. I hope your music continues to bring you & your family joy for a long time.

  • ANOTHER JEM,,REGARDS FANK

  • really nice, that's the spirit!

too bad I aint been made for chords =/

I'll look for a nice accompagment on ukulele maybe.

    keep on the good work!

  • Thank you very much.

  • voh de oh doh...I am a Walmart People greeter and do this on my Baritone Uke to all of the Girls when that pass thru my door..I wish I had your great chords that you use...I just do it in C. and include the voh de oh doe,

by the way liked your Five Foot Two...I do it in C and also G...I'm sure you know the same chords work for Please Don't Talk about me when I'm Gone...

  • It must be a Walmart worth visiting...just for music. I play in C too. It's F on the tenor ujk. And, yes, those chords work for almost any song that was written before 1930. (Let that be our secret.) Thanks for the great comment...keep on strummin'. Ed

  • Nifty job.

  • Thanks much. Ed

  • Your good! :) Do you have the original version of that song (Not the cover)? All I know is the Beatles' version

  • Thanks very much for the complement. The song was published in 1927. I don't know who did the original version or where you can find it. It's likely on some old '78 that you might find in an antique store or maybe even eBay. (I'm old but I'm not that old to have heard or collected the original. :)

  • Wow! Very impressive! You put a smile on my face :) Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks very much. Happy that you liked it. Ed
