Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 Boot up test

Ubuntu is free, you don't need to install drivers seperatly, ubuntu will do it for you. That goes for all hardware, plug in your printer, ubuntu will find it, ask you to select the correct version and you can print instantly.

Also, Ubuntu has a live cd:

Restart your computer, click on "Try out Ubuntu". Ubuntu will start up from cd when you turn off your pc, nothing has changed.

Did you have to download any drivers to get ubuntu to work on your computer?? OR did it just find them all by it self? I'm looking for a new computer. but i want to run Linux on it, so i don't know what computer i should pick...

you usually won't need any drives they come with the linux kernel

I'm no noob... it's just that i'm looking for a new pc, and many new pc's don't support linux yet! so it's many pc's that have linux drivers yet... ;)

I'm jusing Linux, so i know we don't nessesary have to install manually.

yeah as dmartinezc said u usually won't need any drivers. Mine worked right out of the box.
