Why are you guys complaining if clearly they are trying to give the fans what they want. They are making it back in racoon city with real zombies and adding multiplayer to make the game even more fun. You can't just have every res evil game the same way. it would be cool to have a mode where you control the hunters and bows and zombies as well and try to kill the survivers as they progress like left 4 dead

Regarding to all the gameplay videos I saw I think Operation Raccoon City will be very similar to Left 4 Dead, with a storyline based on a once great horror francise.

The idea that Umbrella had a task force trained specifically for an outbreak situation is contradictory to the original story line. Try looking up a special behind the scenes character called Tofu. He was introduced in RE2.

Hunters were introduced in the first Resident Evil, and they leaped at you with their claws. However, RE Hunters have been around since the 90s. Do the math.

It used to be that Resident evil was a Plot Driven Survival Horror game with puzzle elements throughout, and those were EPIC games (with some exceptions). Hunters were reptilian enemies that pounced at you with claws, but they were introduced in Resident Evil One, you know, back in the late 90s. If anything (even though it isn't), you could say it's the other way around.

@ItheSwick Umm. I believe Lickers existed in early Resident Evil Games, BEFORE Left 4 Dead. So, Left 4 Dead is more a copy of Resident Evil then the other way around. Although, almost any zombie game made after Resident Evil could be considered a Resident Evil copy.

Just so people know RE did not copy L4D because RE created survival horror. To me L4D tried to copy some RE creatures like the Hunter or Licker. Another thing If you don't remember or haven't played the classics a Hunter is created by infusing reptilian DNA into a human embryo and bonding them with the T-virus. Guys i played all the old RE's and loved them. You can't just keep the same shit going for years and years, it gets dry and predictable. Wasn't too happy about RE5 but this game seems pretty nice so far..

This looks AMAZING... Cannot wait. The only problem is that this doesn't look scary, which is what I like about the Resident Evil games. But hopefully will be fun to play either way..!

The idea that Umbrella had a task force trained specifically for an outbreak situation is contradictory to the original story line. Try looking up a special behind the scenes character called Tofu. He was introduced in RE2.

@ironraptorterror As you said Umbrella sent Carlos and his sqaud to rescue survivors but they dispaycjed the USS to kill only people who know or can point out Umbrellas hand in all this but also Carlos and his team weren't entirely sent to rescue survivors they also had other objectives.

Good god, why don't they just call this L4D3? It used to be that Resident evil was a Plot Driven Survival Horror game with puzzle elements throughout, and those were EPIC games (with some exceptions). Now it's just another third person shooter with team tactics and a few Easter eggs. Correct me if I'm wrong,but didn't capcom already try a multiplayer RE game that was complete trash?
They're trying to get back to their roots with THIS? What a joke.

I wouldnt have played it after playing RE 4 if there was no multiplayer and no mercenaries mode. but finally, there's an amazing zombie, RESIDENT EVIL, game thats multiplayer. we finally get to kill all the original creatures with our friends. woot!

I hate to say this but this games looks like shit,when i heard this game was announced i was psyched and just couldn't wait for it,i seen some teasers and some trailers but never really hear that you were part of umbrella.Which is cool its a different view of the resident evil franchise,but its just stupid looking.It looks like a Socom zombies which is horrible, they are totally making the R.E. into a boring rd person shooter.They must of ran outta ideas......

Hunters were reptilian enemies that pounced at you with claws, but they were introduced in Resident Evil One, you know, back in the late 90s. If anything (even though it isn't), you could say it's the other way around.
