It just sucks like you said, the story and characters in this film just don't make you like them. It's not that they're bad. I just wanted to feel more of a connection with them. They felt so distant. Quorra was cute and I liked her innocence, but she never goes beyond that. She just stares in the wonderment a lot. One thing that bothered was Sam Flynn's reaction to entering the grid. He wasn't shocked or anything. He wasn't freaking out. OMG I'm in a computer world. He totally accepted it lol.
@RetroVGamer I enjoyed reading you thoughts on the movie, I'm glad someone else agrees with me, most ppl either think the movie was amazing or it really sucked. its nice to see another person who isn't a hater but also doesn't see past the flaws. Thanks for your insight!
@RetroVGamer I pretty much agree with what you said about the characters, but then again in the original movie you didn't really get attached to the characters as much either, other than Flynn, but Im gonna have to disagree with you with the freaking out part, because even in his youngest days he had heard about the grid and everythin from his dad, tru or not. Even though Flynn went missing, most of his memories from his dad and himself were the talks they had about the grid, and playin the game
I pretty much agree. The world they created was amazing and maybe it was just me, but the world of the grid felt like the natural evolution of the original Tron grid. It felt like I was back in that world but things had obviously progressed. They got that feeling right at least for me anyway. The score by Daft Punk was amazing too! It fit perfectly.
Okay as someone who was actually there when the original Tron came out. It was 1982 not 83 and while a lot of critics liked it. It wasn't popular. It bombed at the movie theaters. There were of course of few us like me who really loved it and by the mid 90's it slowly started to get a cult following, especially after films like T2, JP and Toy Story 3 that It finally started to be appreciated for it's innovation in CG special effects.
i might actually see tht because the effects do look canny class, and from those background pics, the blonde one ftw haha (i would usually go for the dark
quorra hands down shes so hot
