very dissapointed with the flick off the leg at 1:50 -- looked more like a paddle shot that you'd see by bowlers in previous versions and furthermore by the shot in the second over at 2:55 which looked more like a push over cover. the most annoying thing about ricky ponting 2005 maybe? was that you could only hit the ball in 8 directions around the wicket, whereby a shot through point hit off the middle could only go exactly square to the wicket, and a flick through mid wicket would always

Not yet, especially when you bowl spinners, they tend to go like 20 an over no matter how well you bowl against the AI. However apparently patches are coming out for xbox and ps3 versions and may already be some out for PC, apparently theyre gonna fix it then.

is this worth buying brand new, anyone got any advice for someone who found previous cricket games to long and drawn out, its not like a footy game where the games are much shorter than in real life. Also , can u have like 5 overs matches and change the settings to have mini games with freinds. And lastly, can u save half way through a match, so u can continue a test over a few days if I cant get much time to play each day, cheers!

My thoughts exactly, really annoyed me that lack of realism on the last Brian lara game, I mean not only did the comp. nver block or leave, even in a test match and even when in trouble, but they also bowled their bowlers in stupidly long spells and had spinners opening all the time. The graphics on this look pretty good too and I'm really looking forward to playing it.

this is brian lara 2007 in new clothes, the animations are exactly the same....its a piss poor effort at making a shit load of money without doing anything.

this game needed a new graphics engine, not a re-hash of an old one.

Opposition never Edge

Shocking runrate in test and one dayers

Stupid fields imposed by opposition when around 30* 70* no matter what the game situation is

Opposition teams have really weird batting orders

The shocking batting actions. never seen shots like that.

3) in hard mode it can take normal cricket time to reach 70.

this is only a demo, and is an older version - so it will have been improved. I think it is better than any other cricket game i have played. And you can edge the ball even off defensive shots.
