I think Jay is a wonderful entertainer and it is always great to see a performer who is highly engaged with his fan base succeed. With that said, however, I just don't understand his appeal as a cover musician. Most of his covers really aren't that expressive- especially compared to the originals. The dude just doesn't emote well. That's not to undermine him as a performer in general though. I think his original stuff is cute and fits his style well.

Usually I'd be the first one to rave how brillant this would be, but I adore Tracy chapmans voice, like Jay's its quite special and unique. Though I love this version, think its really good and as usual has the Jay Brannan twist, I prefer the orginal.
